Show me your shell!

These are the two things I am looking to do right now... I like.

You know I couldn't tell you. Not sure I even fully understand. Though by pictures, when you say frameless you are talking about glass up to the body of the cap for that flush look right?
Can someone chime in? Snugtop? I see they liked my pic!

 

The nuts to attach the webbing were 1/4" fine thread. Yakima/A.R.E.
Just to save you 30 seconds.

(Oh yeah and I melted holes through the webbing by using an old wood burning pen.)

 

Dropped it off for paint this morning. I had maaco do my jeep doors so I'm gonna trust them with this. We'll see how it comes out.

 

Had my new Tacoma for a few months...been wanting a cap since day 1. Just ordered a leer xq with thule aeroblades. I'll post pics when I get it on.....gonna be a long 2 week wait

 

lucked out and found a used shell colour matched to my truck, now to start filling it up.......

 

The mis-matched color actually doesn't look too bad in my opinion if ya had to live with it. Ha.

Anyways, I've been looking around at possible shell candidates for a near future purchase. My question is: What shell would best be suited for eventually mounting a Rooftop Tent? I'm looking for something rugged, prefer sliding windows, and I would like to stay around $1,000; course, may end up spending more. Seems like these things are near impossible to find for a long bed!

 

Dammit, just as I re-convince myself that I should be happy with my Tundra I revisit this thread and see all these sweet Tacomas with shells and again am back to Tacoma shopping...

you sir should buy a lottery ticket. Finding a used topper in impulse? wow.

 

I had been looking for awhile and realize how hard it is to find a 5' topper. Priced out new and couldn't stomach the cost. Was surfing kijiji and stumbled across this one while searching for other Taco parts, super stoked on it!

 

Just finished installing my roof rack I found on CL. And they gave her a bath.

 

How'd you install? Just drill through the top?

 

I had them install the track when I ordered the shell. It is just filled thought the top.

 

This just reminded me to get some eye nuts for the roof.

 

$50 off craiglist. fits 2000 frontier short cab. Use it only for camping pulling my rv.

 

Carry my lab back there.

 

Ughhh, wish I could find one on CL in black... The search continues.

 

Has anyone installed a roof rack from a junkyard or elsewhere themselves? I'm looking to add one to mine.
