If the company I work for pays me more than I make at my current position to go back to my old position is it a promotion?

Is there a difference in "title" between your old position and your new title/designation when you go back?

 

title will probably be the same as it was but I will have some extra responsibilities. They tried to make it clear that it wasnt a step back and they had a plan for me. Im just like. Ill go with the flow...

I just turned down more money to stay where i was. It was good money but im comfortable and building something here. But i did play it into a bonus

I don't see it as a step back, but I wouldn't consider it a promotion either. To me you got a pay raise (hopefully a nice one) along with more work aka responsibility. Title changes matter in most companies as it opens doors to positions at other companies where you can expect a minimum 20% pay increase. Just my experience.

 

Promotion in my opinion only means more money and more work but less mess to deal with

 

Nice, my budget was 10-12k, but I would have had to prep my 4runner, sell it and deal with retards just to afford yours. Much better deal for you and that platinum should be sweet. Soon enough I should have a Tundra.
