    UPDATE:

I finally heard back from Toyota, and its good news! I received a reimbursement! :D

To whoever gets their frame coated by Auto Rust, and wants to get reimbursed by Toyota, you need to follow their instruction from the LSC to the T! If not, they will let you know that you missed something!

    BUMP:
I updated the OP to let people know if you do decide to go this route, you should do a couple of things to your truck so they can hit more of the frame.

OP, how long did they have your truck?
Looks like they did a good job.

They had my truck for 2 days. They were backed up with a lot of cars when I dropped my truck off, or it would have been done in 1 day. Thankfully I had another Tacoma to drive while mine was getting the coating done :D.

Had the CRC done by Toyota.
They did try to do a good job!
But I don't like the fact that what I've done to keep my frame up is now buried under the coating.
Before the black crap I could see what was going on under there.
The black looks good if it wasn't going to extend warranty I would not have let them do it.

Sorry, I meant to take pictures yesterday while I was cleaning my truck, but I forgot to. I just took some this morning, and overall, I am happy on how the coating is holding up. I really couldn't wash the underside of my truck this winter (there were not many days were it got above freezing), and it held up to a lot of salt really well.
    Here are some pictures:

That's why I was leery of going to Toyota to get there undercoating done. From reading the LSC thread, not many (if any) are happy with the coating from Toyota!

    Nice truck by the way!!
So I think Toyota will reimburse you for your frame coating. They will for my broken springs I've replaced one a year for the last 2yrs, another on the truck now. New springs on order back order who knows?
I'll post some pics of their CRC job.

No problem, I knew you asked about the coating a week ago, but life has been getting in the way, so I didn't have any time to take pics earlier.
Thanks :D! I was reimbursed after a couple of months of getting the coating done. I want to do the same as you though, get reimbursed for my new leaf springs as well.

I can imagine everyone does! So, were you considering getting your frame done at Auto Rust?

Right now I am hitting spots a few times a year with FF. I had a 2001 that had to get a new frame, so I would like to do what I can to preserve the frame as much as I can.
Watching your progress does make me consider Auto Rust.
I appreciate you giving the updates.

From your pictures, it looks like the guy at Toyota did a good job of not hitting every thing that didn't needed to be covered, unlike my truck (which Auto Rust sprayed the shocks, CV axles, etc.). But I feel bad because that stuff will never dry!

I have sprayed FF a couple of times of the inside portions of the frame on my truck, to keep the rust at bay, and it is somewhat working. Does a lot of dirt and stuff stick to the FF on the outside of the frame? Thanks for giving friendly reminders to update this thread! Or I would have been just putting it off because I would keep forgetting.

^^ Yeah the dirt does stick to it a bit.
I use a wire wheel first to blast off any rust and junk then spray it down.

That's what I thought, I try to do the same thing if I see anything that has rust that wasn't sprayed by Auto Rust.

It just sucks that Toyota went from a never drying coating (1st gen Tacoma frame recall), to dry coatings (1st gen Tundra recall), and back to a crappy coating.
I have been the same way, I always wanted a Toyota truck since I was a kid!

So I got a buddy with a 1st gen tundra.
Had the treatment 4 yrs ago, failed inspection last yr. Toyota welded in a patch, and inspected it. Don't think I'd have let them do that. Maybe just until the new frame came in. Not sure what others are being told but my dealer said that frames and coating are a 1 time fix and if I failed inspection next week I would be SOL.
Kinda went off the deep end! told them take it off or warranty it. Anyway a tech gave me a # to call and 45 mins later frame is covered until 2031.
