Whenever I get in those situations where I can't control what I eat (work events, vacation, etc.), I just try to keep fat down. I can deal with high carbs and high protein, but when I get all three macros high, I start getting fat. Some folks prefer low-carb, though.

I could eat a 32oz steak for every meal and would feel great :anonymous:

If I eat high carbs I get really tired, if I cut the sat fat I get grumpy, so I try to eat low carb...the fat comes in automatically :notsure:

I eat way too much garbage, it's different when I'm home

    Honestly depends person to person,
A buddy of mine doesnt do well with low carb, high fat
some don't do well with the inverse of that,

One thing should always be consistent : protein, then make your adjustments from there... If fat goes higher, consciously lower your carb..... if your carb goes up, lower the fat..... i do this on holidays and general uncontrollable dietary situations.

Nothing wrong with a little Mcee D's every now and then...although, I prefer Wendy's

Agreed. I've tried low carb (keto) and hated life. I lose weight just fine on low fat (~50-60), med carbs (~200-260) and feel great, so that's what I choose to do.

My protein NEVER goes below 1 gram per pound of body weight, but just to be safe, I do 1.2-1.5 g.

What you said above is how I dumb down diets to people that are too lazy to count macros: you get 2 highs and 1 low and protein must be a high. You either get high carbs or high fat...not both.

To each their own I guess... it's Extremely rare for me to eat fast food. I just feel like crap after eating it & it makes me fat.

I'm with you there. Most fried/greasy stuff makes me feel bad afterwards, but it's so good at the time. I probably eat fast food 4-5 times a year. My favorite cheat meal is pepperoni pizza with green olives dipped in ranch, but I only do that 1-2 times a year because I eat the whole pizza in a few hours, which is about 2250 calories lol

Yeah, my rule of thumb is this :
    Get protein in:
If you eat Fat, Don't eat much carb in that meal. one or the other but never both

OME 3" lift with 885 coils. OME Shocks with TSB 1.5 AAL. 285/75/16 KM2s. XD Hoss 16" wheels. DDM Tuning 6000K HIDs, H10 6000K Fogs. BHLM. Debaged. 20% tint on front windows.

Doing dips, flat bench press and decline bench press. Is all I do for the lower portion of my chest. I hardly do decline press anymore. Just doing flat bench works them enough for me. Maybe some dips afterwards. But nothing too crazy.

haha Well, I guess then fast food doesn't have the same affect on you
Age has a lot to do with it as well...as you get older, your metabolism slows down.
That and I have a sedentary job that I'm at 40 hours a week.

Wishful thinking haha....maybe I eat a little more fast food that that.

Thought I'd ghey it up in here. I'm only 11 days into no alcohol or cheat meals and I still plan on cutting until mid-August. My shoulders and arms get vascular as fuk when lifting, but I still only have a 2-4 pack. I still have a long way to go. I feel like last week was the real 'actual start' of my cut, since I was cheating all the time and drinking every weekend up until then. 12% here?
