    About 18 on a good day/tank. 2011 dcsb off road 4x4 6 speed manual.
I figure I can get about 340 out of a tank, but my light comes on about 280ish. Try to fill up at that point I'd hate to have to push that thing.

Yeah but, no. At highway speeds at least 40% of your vehicle's energy being consumed to push air out of the way. Mechanical losses are relatively static, while aerodynamic drag increases with the square of your speed. NASCAR estimates they need 50 additional hp for each additional 1mph at superspeedway pace.

    And our trucks are bricks.

Finally measured my MPG yesterday and I'm at 12.8!

That was all city driving but I think I need to get a lighter foot.

You aren't taking into account the rotational speed or rotational direction of the Earth relative to the direction the vehicle is traveling. Those traveling in an opposite direction of the Earth's rotation will see improved MPGs while those traveling in the same direction of the Earth's rotation will show reduced MPGs. Wind direction and speed may impact things as well. Other considerations would be the weight of the driver, any passengers, items which may be in the cab of the vehicle or in the bed. However, please note added weight to the bed of the truck in theory could improve drive wheel traction and thus may improve MPGs in certain very specific circumstances. Bug deflectors on the hood or deflectors installed over door windows should be calculated as well. Those who may have added extensions to their side view mirrors will also be penalized in MPGs. The addition of nerf bars, rock sliders, skid plates, roof racks, bed racks, or bed mounted toolboxes may all be calculated as well.

Please also consider hood stripes, pin striping, vinyl decals, window stickers, or a plethora of seemingly ridiculous bumper stickers declaring one's unabashed and uneducated love for yesteryear's politician. These may trigger morality penalties against MPGs. As an afterthought I'm also realizing some states require front license plates and others do not. Vanity plates or required state issued front license plates create undesirable drag and thus reduce MPGs at speed. Also important are the type of tires, tread life remaining, and inflated tire pressure of any and all tires mounted to the vehicle.

All that having been said my last fuel up was calculated at 19.7MPGs using Fuelly. :) This bump in my MPGs could be related to improved flow through from a recent exhaust (muffler) upgrade. Though a single fuel up is merely anecdotal evidence.

Been tracking mine for about 3000 miles, since I bought the truck. It's a 2011 TRD Off Road, access cab, 6MT, all stock everything. I average 19.5-20 in mixed conditions, shifting around 2000-2500rpm, usually skip shifting 3rd & 5th. Considering they're rated 14city/18hwy, I couldn't be happier.

I added a roll up style tonneau cover a few fill ups ago and didn't notice any gain or loss in mpg. Seeing as how that wasn't it's intended purpose to me, I couldn't care less, I was just curious to see if it would make a difference. Many manufacturers use increased mpg as a selling point for these things, I've seen several claiming 10% increases and even higher.

Ditto. It did keep the snow out though (I take it off in the spring).

I started tracking fuel economy shortly after I bought it. I want a good baseline before I try that Crawford Performance MAF dealeo. All my reading were done the old-fashioned way ((mileage after - mileage before)/gallons used)

99% of my driving is 60-65 mph @ 700 ft above sea level here in Michigan.

I pushed it harder during a single day of highway driving. Unfortunately my economy suffered.

16MPG if I go light on the gas ( 60-65mph on highway). 80-20 split h/city.

If I go 70+ on the highway, mileage plummets.

17-18 Since March. Mix of city and highway. Per tank low of 16.1 and high of 19.6 - still waiting for that elusive 20+ on a tank.....

2012 TX Pro - 18.1 mixed (1 year average). Recently moved to where I'm doing about 90% highway, averaging 20mpg over the past month. I get off the line pretty quick and generally go 75-80mph.

I've been getting 21 since diff's changed to redline and tonneau cover installed. I'm in a rural area and do a good amount of highway driving. Rarely have to sit in traffic.

'13 extended cab. 36k miles. New plugs at 31k. 21 mpg with about 90% highway mileage with 93 octane. TSB 044-14 reprogram done earlier today. Hopefully, switching back to 87 octane.
