Thanks man, working on my 96 4Runner Rear tube bumper now, then next weekend I'm going to make a Hybrid version of this one with Tube on the sides for my 4Runner. Will be Smaller, Plate in the middle and Tubes on the sides. If that goes well ill see what I want todo about building one for my 1st Gen Taco.

Thank you, Uhhh currently no plans to sell em yet. Need a metal sheet bender and a cutter machine before I even think about it lol. Nice Headlights Btw!

Thanks guys. The skid was a big part of it for me. I mostly built the bumper around the skid plate design.

This looks really great! awesome to see the start to finish progression. The weatherstripping was also a nice touch to tighten up your gaps. If i had access to the metal working equipment that I used to I would look into making something similar to this for sure.

@Hunter.V.White something like this would compliment that bumper you just put on really well.

I wish I could make a few of these for you guys. I wouldn't mind the extra money. Just dont have the time. Maybe I can get a few of the weird pieces pre cut. Rest is just straight strap and plate pieces. That really cut down the time. I'd have to redesign the skid for non DB lifts.

dude nice work! i built one as well, and will be starting my rear soon then back to the front to modify it. we built it and afterwards i realized i wanted to make certain changes. I'm still cutting everything by hand or by angle grinder with cutting disk.... shit takes for ever! but i have made it!

That's exactly why I didn't lineX it. I know one day I want to add something.

Oh god cutting disks!?! Dude fuck that you got determination. I used a plasma cutter and I still was fighting to finish.

yeh, took me a very long time,
    and was very unpleasant.........

I wish i knew some one locally that had a plasma for me to use but i just don't have the money for that.
A guy ripped me off for a custom bumper so i had no choice to build my own

I just went the china route for mine. it CAN produce some nice cuts, but usually i just cut a little over size and take it down with a 9 inch grinder. 100x faster than cut off wheels

You'd be surprised how clean of a cut a hand plamsa will do when you drag it along a strait edge. I use this technique a lot and it works suprisingly well.

When i had some access to one prior we did that but still the cuts where imo still quite jagged and i needed to grind allot to clean it up. I see some peoples cuts and man they look smooth. I guess when your a rookie like me, my welds and cuts need that after touch lol
