Finally finished installing the new bushing in the LR UCAs. What a pain to remove the old ones.

Looks great! Don't feel bad, it took me and my dad 4 hours of heating and getting rid of my undercoating to do the rear lift on my truck!

So now that I have some time to type, I can update where I'm at.

    Before:
Front Left - 20" hub to fender
Front Right - ~20" hub to fender
Rear Left - 21.5" hub to fender
Rear Right - ~ 21.5" hub to fender

    After:
Front Left - 22" hub to fender
Front Right - 22.5" hub to fender
Rear Left - ~24.5" hub to fender
Rear Right - ~25" hub to fender.

I'm hoping the rear settles out a bit, which I wouldn't be surprised if it does, since getting 3-3.5" of lift seems to be a bit excessive. It's a TSB pack with the Icon AAL and no overload.

As for the install, wasn't too much of a headache, just INCREDIBLY long and VERY messy because I had so much Fluid Film everywhere. Tomorrow's going to be spent cleaning my tools.

    The Front
    - I tried taking out the sway bar end link with only one side of the truck lifted, which was a bad decision as it ended up tweaking a bit and it damaged the threads where I tapped it out of the knuckle. Luckily a trip to Lowes and a M12 x 1.25 die and I was back in business.
    - Running spring compressors on the stock OR springs was PAINFUL. I did it before on my old Accord when I ran Neuspeed Sport lowering springs and there was plenty of room to get the compressors on and off, these ones too a pry bar and a hammer to tap them in and out. I think I had the fronts out and the top hats assembled in less than 2.5 hours. I hit the wall trying to get the sway bar rebuilt, but was able to do it without skipping out on any steps.
    - It was a bit of an adventure getting everything lined up in there, but once it was together it was reasonably easy.

    The Rear
    - Getting everything apart was easy enough.
    - Made the mistake of trying to get the leafs in from the back and then the front, rather than the front and the back.
    - Ended up cutting off the rear brake line mount as the Icon pack didn't have a place to thread it. I suppose I can build something else to support the brake line if I need to, but I don't think I need it at this point as they don't really flop around all that much. I can always fab up a new mount if I need to.
    - The last rear shock I did wouldn't line up to save it's life and took me a solid 45 minutes to get into place.

But, it's done and I'm happy. I'll take it out for a spin tomorrow to check for issues and hope and pray I don't have any new or unmanageable vibrations. Then I'll get an alignment next weekend.

I can completely relate. My fluid film coated me, tools and multiple pairs of nitrile gloves.
    Thanks!

Thanks! Hopefully it should be completely back in commission next week after my alignment.

    Thanks!

OK, I've been sitting on this damn fence awhile now and hanging around here with all you guys snagging trail rigs and the NTC board has started to really wear me down and tip towards one side of said fence. I've been holding onto $ to make more changes to my '11 but this little voice (which continues to get bigger) keeps saying "Take the money and get a truggy/trail 4 runner". Now I'm stuck between a rock and an interco tire :notsure::frusty:. Anyone care to push?

Trail rig. It makes wheeling that much more enjoyable. You can try thing and nots worry about making it home. If you break the trail rig, it will be dragged out of the woods to your trailer. If you break the Tacoma, you have to figure out how to get it home and pay for a tow company.
