My 2015 was supposed to be built yesterday. I hope it was. I've been waiting 7 weeks already.

Dat grille . . . . looks like fake buck teeth slapped onto a nice fender design. It's not just the grille, it's the bulbous hoodline needed to accomodate the oversized grille.

But, maybe new safety standards require if you hit a pedestrian in the middle of the truck they should be diverted high over the windshield.

I think you nailed it monkeyface,

Toyota's Chief Engineer said much the same thing in his interview, "that they did some redesign to meet up-coming safety standards".

I think he was referring to the underbite lower bumper/valance that sticks out 4 inches from the rest of the grille, the pictures with the grille and bumper removed show a big line of crush/crumble stops.

I'll end up getting the extended cab trd off road (manual) to replace my '92 4wd extended cab. I've already been offered 6000 for my hunting tool and willing to part from it. I'm pretty sure everything on the '16 will be an improvement over my current ride... well maybe not the front end. :)

Maybe as part of the safety standard they designed the grill so ugly that pedestrians would just jump out of the way when they see it coming.:annoyed:

Holy Cow. Blacking out that grille turns it into a different truck. I had resigned myself to driving one around with gritted teeth, but I actually like the blacked out one. Not that the looks of the thing really mean squat...

I think you guys are underestimating the grill part, shading it black in paint dosent mean spray painting it or plasti dipping it is gonna make it looks similar/the same. Satoshi will likely be your best bet. Also the sport has color keyed lower bumper, so your gonna have to paint it to make it stand out like that. Im not saying it dosent have alot of potenital any truck lifted with aftermarket wheels looks dope. I cant wait to see your guys lifted 2016s, for me personally I shouldnt have to mod a truck to find it appealing, but to each their own. Looking forward to seeing more in person besides the autoshow here in the fall.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I really want one, hopefully someday I can. The 3rd gen is better than 2nd gen by far!

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
New truck comes with 4.30 gears. Install those gears on 4 L and tow limit will be whatever the bolts holding that hitch can take.
