I am after some projector headlights with some led flair. The 2016 tacoma lights look awesome. Do you think there is anyway they could be fit on to a 2008? I'm not a very big fan of the current offerings of headlight replacements that I have found so far. What do you all think?

2016 tacoma headlights will not fit on a 2008 tacoma.

Have you looked into retrofitted headlights?

these are the closest to what I am after. The seem like the only option really other than the oven heating hackery.

Your best bet is to do the the "oven heated hackery" I've never heard anything good about those headlights.

Pay to do it right the first time. There are people on here that will do custom retrofits exactly how you want them.

People will do the custom retrofits exactly how I want them? Really, who, where? I'm after the audi look. I would prefer something local so I wouldn't be without headlights for very long!!

I'll be offering custom retrofits with custom LED profiles in the near future. I'm just waiting on some parts for my 3d printer to become available that will make producing these feasible. The retrofitted options that I am prepared to offer will be of unparalleled quality with more custom features than currently available from anyone else. They'll be priced to sell, but still not cheap since I will be using only brand new OEM housings and the best parts I can make or get my hands on.

Here's a teaser. It's just a test part, but I made it in the general shape of the swept profile I will be using on the 2012-2015 headlights.

When you have some pics of builds let me know. You're located halfway between my home and where I go to college so it would be awesome to get my lights fitted by you.

Yep, I was actually able to mess around with the design for those a couple weeks ago for the first time in a while. They still have a little ways to come, and I still need the new parts for the printer to keep them consistent / feasible, but they should be available before the end of the year!

Shane, I am totally interested in this. Having a totally custom light sounds super baddd ass. 3D printers are wicked cool. I thought my next skill would be welding but 3D printing might get in the way of that.

Would I be able to buy the entire head light assembly so you could mail me something that I could replace my current setup with? It would suck to send my lights to be customized and not be able to drive my truck at night. If you were interested I could trade you my factory headlights for a discount?

Yes, absolutely. That is how I plan on doing my retrofit program. Aside from the Factory headlight trade in (core replacement). The problem would be that I want every head light to be perfect from the start, since I'll be offering a very robust warranty on the finished product. I may accept core replacements on a case by case basis.

Shane how do you think your 3D printed piece you linked through instagram would hold up in the heat? Or is that just a prototype to send out for molds?
