    Hey everyone, just wanted to say "Hello" here. I posted in the new members forum, but have been reading over the Alaska threads too.

    Just got my Tacoma last week from Continental, had just under 13K on it. Traded in my 2-Dr JK Rubicon. Only time will tell how much I regret doing that. I am and always will be a Jeep guy at heart, but thankfully I still have my CJ7 which is a complete rebuild. I just didn't wheel my JK too much and wanted something fun but also more practical.

    That being said, I'm already making out a list of things to do. Would love to have a bit more ground clearance and 33s (maybe 285 Duratracs). What kind of lift combos have you all used, seems like the Tacoma has quite a few different ways you can lift it, from what I've learned. TW has lots of great info

    Also, took my "new" truck out to Buffalo Mine area the DAY AFTER I got it and tore up my rocker panels. It was stupid of me, I just wanted to go on some light trails, but got in and well, was committed at that point. Was with a bunch of lifted Jeeps so I couldn't bitch out, you know. However, I probably did a good $1K worth of damage, rough estimate, nothing major just paint and body, which adds up easily.

    Rock rails are easily on the top of my mods list. Looking for something practical as a step but also real protection that's bolted to the frame. Any suggestions? It seems there is a limited market on custom fabricated stuff up here, I found that out when shopping around for someone to make a tire carrier for my Jeep.

    Anybody know or recommend a reputable body shop that likes off-road types?

    Looking forward to meeting some other Taco owners out there!

    Hey @benbacher You think Green Tree could weld up a super simple single bar for my bed to hold a couple Blitzpro 6lz reverse lights? I could do it myself, but no haz a welder.

    Ahhh I see, that kinda weather is nice at first but then you start to miss AK! I visit family in Florida a lot and man the humidity really gets to me after a few days!
