Downloaded it, it's creepy that the building I live in is a portal in Spain

 

I kinda stopped playing awhile back, could have been 16 and then some by now.

 

Vives en España? How is it a portal? Does it have a monument or something of the sort out side of it?

 

It's an American University that I'm studying abroad at. The Portal is actually called Universidad Americano. And there's another portal that is of a statue that was literally put up 12 hours ago.

 

That's not creepy then...lol

 

It just kinda came as a surprise more than anything, because it's a completely inconspicuous building with no names or anything on it.

I beta this game back in the day, i was fun for a little while, just never got into it. At the time i worked to much play. Maybe ill give it another shot.

 

I just started playing about 4 months ago, and it was another local TW member that got me into it... I started slow but as the weather has gotten better I been more active as run/walk/ through some of my local portals to farm in them.

 

First off, I just want to say that I hate the guy that resurrected this thread. Second, I'm on day three and am level 4 already. I will have no more life for a while.

 

I am enlightened. There is a huge cluster of smurf portals right by my house. They are all pretty high level but i think I'm gonna farm for a week or so and then go destroy it.

The fiance and me were stopped at a red light right next to it today and I said out loud "I'm gonna blow that shit up". She reminded me that I should be careful saying things like that out loud because it is at a Catholic church and no one else can actually see the portals...Something about sounding like I am threatening to commit a hate crime or something.

 

Bad news: I lost a 126 day old guardian yesterday

Well, I got lucky. There were a bunch of unclaimed portals by my work and a bunch of weak smurf portals by my house. I also met up with a more advanced player who was able to help me out. All told I've probably only put about 4 hours total into the game.

For a while yesterday someone had a field that went from Galveston, TX to Dauphin Island, AL , and up into Arkansas somewhere.

 

I gotten a lot of advice from the guy who recruited me, but we live far from ea. other so no physical help. Though he wanted to hook up and load me with a ton of gear we could never find the time... as of now, I haven't gotten any help whether by getting gear or getting other players to clear stuff for me. But his advice has been superb on the strategy side of the game.

 

Out here we have regional chatrooms. I am still waiting to meet up with a player to get accepted into one of them. But, I have all the fields around my house built. I am level 3 still, but that is because I haven't had the time to get to the bigger areas.
