SamSter's got a lift!

OK, it's in! Bought Silverbacks old OME 886 coils, and OME struts.. put it in minutes ago. Really not that bad of an install, pretty easy with the right tools. I am seriously wondering if my angles are too extreme in the front though, opinions welcome.. I think the UCA is too close to the spring, I can barley get a finger in between there.

TSB rear, 886 coils in front with the spacers.. I decided after installing to take the spacers out, and once I got it all apart again realized the coil would have to be compressed to push out the studs and replace them with shorters ones. Bummer. Guess I will have to do the Toytec TSB AAL.. It rides well, and there is no "funky" noises in 4hi, or 2wd.. 4600 miles on the truck.. time to get it dirty.

Actually.. no, I haven't. The light just started blinking today.. I was going to change it but I didn't feel like it after getting all the lift stuff done. I gotta fly out tomorrow afternoon to Baltimore.. augh.. I'll change it next week, Promise!

I think the front is taller now, I wonder if it will settle a week later, and look level? it's 2mm higher.. I am about to order the TSB AAL for the back.. it's supposed to provide 1.5" of lift.. I don't want that "Front Plow" look again.. grr.

 

i would wait a little while i think the light blinks till 5 they it stays on or some junk so you have time im glad my truck sits level im sure the front will settle a little

Thanks Drew! I also removed the front mudflaps after I took the picture. Do you think I should remove all four.. or just the front it ok?

 

I originally just took the fronts off of mine, and it looked good. I'd still have the rear ones on if they hadn't been ripped off while backing over a curb with a heavy load of sand.

looks great Sam, congratulations I'm real happy for you, truck looks much better, I say take off all four mud flaps & order that aal. Then change the oil.

 

i would take them off and sell them seems like people like them but i hate the way they look and they break pretty eazy too

 

ok, ok.. will remove the rear flaps too.. and Change oil next week. It's getting aligned right now.

you will def. need some UCA's if your gonna offroad it...those angles look like even on deep pothole will cause the UCA to hit the spring!!

but it looks killer!
