The canvas top is cool. Just to keep some snow and rain off stuff. Ideal setup for what I would like.

Can someone possibly take a pic or explain to me how this is supposed to mount to the bed? I've received it, and am having it welded up, but have no idea how to mount it to the bed. Do the square plates just slide into the bed rails, or do I need to take them off to insert them into the rails? I dropped the rack off at the welder and don't have the plates with me so am a little unsure. Any help would be great, thanks!

The 4 long plates slide into your bed cargo rails. The pack rack sits on top and hangs over the inside edge then bolts into the small metal bed rail inserts. Allpro website has a pdf you can download with very detailed instructions.

Sub'd! Looking to make this my next addition. Not working with much right now (3" stage 1 lift and 33s). Just looking for a mild off-road camping truck then move more in more to strictly off-road.

Finally got mine welded up and installed today. Turned out pretty well after three coats of Rustoleum Bed liner after a coat of primer and scratching the surface with some sand paper. I was able to hoist it up myself and get it on the bed, so even though it's steel it's not too heavy. I cut it down exactly four inches and it sits level with the top of the back window. Turned out pretty damn near perfect. Tepui tent gets here tomorrow, so hopefully can get that mounted up just as easy. I'd like to come up with some sort of way to make a cover for the bed somehow, so I have at least some things covered up when I head out on trips. It's either that or get an access literider and rig it up to work like denvermojo did on here.

@MRMOTO post some pics when you are all done.

I made some steel brackets for mine today and mounted my Foxwing awning to it for an upcoming trip.

I'm looking into a cover as well. I think im going to take a giant sheet of aluminum and bolt it to the top. Nobody will hardly notice it and that will cover a good portion or the bed. The ill do a military style roll of canvas on the sides. Thinking about going to an upholstery shop or a boat cover shop and having something custome made

Does anybody with a long bed and a RTT on top have it mounted like mine? I'm worried with it being so off center, but wanted to tent mounted as close to the cab as possible. I'd rather not have it over the rear two tubes, but may have to to make it centered. Anybody had this issue?

Does anyone have a rack for 1st gen that can be removed for hauling shit? I like the rack but would want to be able to take it out if I need without having to unbolt the whole thing.

Anybody ever thing about putting the AllPro Bed Rack on using the rail system already on the truck. I found the TrackRac mounting kit and was wondering if it was feasible to weld the AllPro rack to these mounts so that it could easily be slid on an off the truck.

Our Pack Rack bolts to the existing track system in the Tacoma bed rails. I have attached a couple of pictures to better explain it. packrack.install.02.jpg Pack Rack install.jpg

Sweet that's my truck getting it's aluminium pack rack, for those who are on the fence about the extra cost of aluminium I recommend pulling the trigger. It will cost recover in no time by the weight savings.

I guess I should've asked for a discount or something when I ordered mine last week. Every little bit helps when you start adding every accessory to these things. Maybe I could get some swag thrown in my order
