Wow, looks like a lack of communication in the grand scheme of things but some of those guys are a little more pissed than they need to be. Surprised none of the mods have stepped in to at least mediate everything.

Skygear, hope your trip is going well. I still want one of those blocks when you get back!

Skygear is awesome and I think those guys badmouthing him don't understand how busy he is. I've been to his house and seen his workshop, and unless he had chinese kids stashed away somewhere he makes all of his own stuff and that takes time.

So the uwharrie trip was cancelled as apparently a bunch of people dropped out when it came time to pay for the event. Anyone interested in doing some wheeling in VA this weekend? I only know of Flagpole Knob but would be interested in doing anything that gets the truck dirty.

I'm thinking Shoe Creek or Peters Mill/Taskers Gap on Saturday if anyone wants to tag along.

EDIT: Make that Friday! Apparently it gets pretty crazy there on Saturdays.

I might be down for some Peter's Mill Run/Tasker's Gap. I'll let you know later this week.

Edit- As soon as I typed that message I realized my daughter's final volleyball game is this Saturday. Argh

Hey Everyone, I was searching the site for a tint place up here in NOVA and stumbled upon this thread. I just purchased a 2015 SW DCSB TRD sport from Tysons Koons. I've been on the move the last two weeks since I've purchased my truck. 1400 miles in a 2 week period between a bachelor party and a wedding. Loving the truck so far, couldn't ask for anything better (except for mods of course.) I commute twice a week from Arlington out to Herndon so if ya see me on 267 give me a wave!

But any recommendations on a local shop to have the front windows tinted to 20%?

I went to LA Tint in Sterling. They did my fronts to 20% for $100 cash, since it is illegal. Not much fuss from them, they just wanted cash and no paperwork.

hi - I'm pretty new here and to working on tacomas. I've worked pretty extensively on my Subaru for the past five years and now learning all about suspension on the 2015 long bed access. I was seriously considering the Coil/Bilstein 5100 lift Kit (part # HS05BK-1) from headstrong http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/headstrong-kits-tacoma-05-6-lug.html and was wondering if there was anyone near silver spring, md or NOVA that could me the proper way to get it done. I'd be happy to pay in cash, beer, and/or lunch. I've always had great luck meeting fellow hobbyists over a DIY and hope to do the same with the Tacoma - thanks!

if not, where is a great shop for Tacoma suspension work or Tacoma work in general near 20902 or NOVA/Tysons Corner?

    thanks again!

I had LA Tint in Manassas do mine a couple months back. It was about $100 and took 15 minutes. They did a great job.

I only went 50% to stay legal.
