Coin holder ... just a thought ---

I just sold my 08 4Runner (to my step son) which had a coin holder inside the console.

Before he left, and just for the heck of it, I pulled out the coin holder, and what do you know ... it fits right here

I kinda wedged it in, but it didn't move at all, and the door easily closes ...

(upon further review, I should have flipped the coin holder over, so the coins would slide out of the slots easier.)

You can buy the coin holder new on Ebay, looks like for under 20 bucks with shipping..

I know it doesn't matter to some, just throwing out another option

That's actually a pretty good idea. I imagine that is spring loaded so you just kinda sweep the coin with your thumb to get it out?

 

With coin holder flipped over, greater ease you will have to retreive coins. With coin holder left alone, greater ease you will have to insert coins.

A great decision have you to make. Choose wisely.

That'd be nice.. but then I couldn't store $23 in change and have it all spill out onto the floorboard.

True, looking at it as a Canadian it looks like that could handle Toonie, Loonie & maybe a quarter but not the dimes and nickles.

I just chuck my twoonies and loonies in that bin , the shrapnel goes by the shifter and then into the coin jar in the house

Who uses anything under a quarter ? and we don't even have pennies anymore .

Great idea but I just have a hard plastic cup full of change in the cup holder in the door...
