Welp.......Being that I have driven on many MANY AT tires, and found the BFG AT's to suck (out in AZ at least) compared to most any other AT's, and having heard how many changes were made to the new AT KO2's, I felt compelled to at least give them a shot before feeling qualified to bash them. SO........I have them mounted, and will be testing them in different off road conditions, as well as on the street, and freeway.
    First, some back ground:
When I got my first truck, it had BFG AT's on it. I thought they were fucking AWESOME! I mean........The ads in the magazines said they were, and they were on pictures of cool trucks, with chicks in bikinis next to them. Who doesn't like cool trucks, and chicks in bikinis? SO, I ran them for 15 years. UNTIL, I was offered to try the new (at the time) Nitto Terra Grappler. The Nitto kicked the snot out of the BFG's. Intrigued, I began to try other brands. Goodyear, Cooper, Yokohama, etc. All of them were better then the BFG's to the point the BFG's, to me, seemed like a joke. Literally, they were only marginally better than the Rugged Trails when off road.
Fast forward to the new AT KO2's! Everything is saying how many changes were made, different rubber, no chicks (that Ive seen), etc. A buddy of mine kept telling me "You have to give them a try..". Welp.....after comparing them side by side to the AT KO's, I can see some promising changes. The lugs are further apart, the siping is different, and the shoulders seem more suited for off roading. Significantly more rubber on the sides for protection. SO....needing tires anyway, I had my buddy put on a set.

    First impressions:
Significantly more grip on the street than the old ones. Much MUCH better ride than the old ones as well. I aired them up 3#'s over what I normally run, and they feel just like the Nittos, or Coopers (2 of the best riding AT's on the street).

They seem to follow ruts in the road a little more than the other AT's Ive tried, but this isn't a big deal, and its a very little difference.

Over the next few moths, or as I have the time, I will compare these back to back against the Toyo AT2's, and yokohama Geolander AT's.
I might be able to get 1 more tire to compare, but that remains to be seen yet.
As for the pics, I look at tires as a tool, and don't care what they look like, but I took this picture, 'cause people will make my life hell if I don't throw one on here, so here you go! :)

I was considering them at the time I got my GY Kevlars, but they weren't readily available and I couldn't wait any longer..

They rock..but the noisiest m/t tires I've had so far. They seem to have some kind of super powers in the snow..

Yeah, I have no experience with really anything in the snow. GY always seem to have noisey tires. Not near what the Nitto MT's are though.

I have about 3000 miles on mine so far and my initial impressions are good. Be interesting to see how they do this coming winter.

    Nice rubicon btw.

I remember the original GY M/T, They were awesome until I wore them down. I have the Silent Armour (which have been discontinued) and they were pretty loud for being advertised as silent.

Hey Chris will you be hitting snow, I'm interested in knowing how the ko2s handle. I've run the original KOs before and thought much the same.

Got a set of Hankook Dyna Pro AT's to compare to also. Well see how these rate against an MT, and 2 AT's on the AZ Trails!
