What is wrong with these unattentive Marketplace sellers?

Seeing a few sellers lately that post a for-sale thread, and then seemingly abandons it.

Example #1:

Seller puckstopper55 posts ad on May 28th, and never logs in since to check the thread.

Example #2:

https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-with-backup-cam-for-a-tacoma-long-bed.373163

Seller heliix posts price reduction on May 18th, and then never logs back in to check the thread.


These are the two I remember offhand, but there are many others out there.
Wonder if they really want to sell their items?

 

I think a lot of people put their stuff on CL and TW and CL gets more responses. Once they sell it they just don't update the post here.

One possible explanation is that they are posting the item for sale in multiple places. If the item sold elsewhere then maybe they just never bothered updated the ads on the other sites where they posted it. Otherwise it's possible that something happened to them which prevented them from returning to TW and updating their post (but I'd hope that this wasn't the case).

 

A more likely scenario is the recent forum software change. I know a lot of people (myself included) were pretty much in the dark for a couple of months w/o email notifications.

 

yeah I didn't bump mine for a while after the change too cause I didn't know where anything was anymore let alone keeping track of my threads/replies.

 

So probably just selfish one way type douchey behavior but maybe a fatality? I'll go with that.
