Has anyone every "wheeled" and camped up Bright Trail? http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=243

My friend just bought an Xterra and has never gone off road before. He asked me to bring him to an easy/novice trail where our families can camp. I've always had this one in mind for such an endeavor but never been up there.

I've been on it, never knew the name. Found it by accident exploring the residential area at the beginning.
It's good for stock vehicles and there was a few camp sites.
The entry off the highway looks like a neighborhood, mailboxes and the ever present "no trespassing" signs.

Seems like camping up by the overlook would be nice. I'd like to take my friend on Middle St Vrain but I don't think he'd want to do that.

Unfortunately the first week I will be able to camp is July 4th weekend. No thanks. So my first camping trip will be July 11th-18th. Going to be another short camping season, sadly.

Did yours blow cold/warm in intermittent spurs? Mine is doing that, and the cold isn't even all that cold.

Depending on how well your raised beds drain you may consider cutting the run time down some and adding an extra start time in the afternoon. At work we typically run raised beds with Agrifim 3 times a day for about 3 minutes a shot, seems to work well.

    Thanks.

The soil drains extremely well. Almost too well I'm thinking. By afternoon the top 3" or so is pretty dry. I was thinking about maybe running it 5 mins in the early morning (6am ish?) and then another 5 mins at about 8:45pm.

For well draining soil, more often and less time, works the best. Adjusting weekly based off of weather conditions/sun exposure is the best way to get the most benefit and efficiency out of your sprinkler for any type of plant material. Sounds like you have a pretty good handle on it. I'd probably start the second start time earlier than 845 maybe around 5:00 or so. As long as you keep an eye on it and adjust accordingly you'll have good results. Just pray for no hail!

Question for you 2nd gen owners, my brother busted a U-joint on the rear drive shaft, the one next to the transmission output shaft. It also took out the ears on the yoke/flange. Drive shaft is fine.
Toyota doesn't sell replacement yokes. Any suggestions on where to source one?

Picked up a box of .22 today, 500 count, $36.00. That was with a discount. Just Thunderbolts too.
I have an old box from years ago, 525 count with a price tag of $18.99 still on it.
