I need this All-Pro bumper for my adventure leaving the Marine Corps. After a couple of deployments and 4+ years serving in the Marine Corps I will be getting out at the end of the year when I return from my final deployment. I plan to along with some friends take a road trip along the west side of the states after leaving the Marine Corps. Starting in California and going to Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, maybe Moab, etc trying to hit some cool spots before we all go our separate ways. My next purchase was going to be the All-Pro rock sliders and Expo leafs and this would just top off everything and go so well with my already added All-Pro Pack Rack to get closer to completing my adventure mobile. Also the story for this would be an awesome story for my friends and family who camp with me when I finally get back home to Reno, NV ( some of which have Tacomas :D so they would be a tad jealous ) I would LOVE this thing if you guys pick me for this contest

Here is the last picture I have of Onix before I took off for deployment

Everyone has a very good reason to why they need or want this bumper. I have just recently purchased a 07' Tacoma and I just graduated from College with a Bachelors in Geology and am going to be leading minor overland journeys (1-3) to then go backpacking/camping. I decided that the Tacoma was the perfect vehicle to get for this type of job/hobby I am embarking on. Before this and still currently have a Jeep Liberty 2003 with multiple mods and did 3-5 day trips camping with my Jeep, but its storage space was tiny.

I plan on purchasing a lift and upper control arms and other front end components as well as a rear set up with a bed cage. Pretty much every Tacoma owners dream set up for Overland trips. Well, to me, this is going to be my career as well as a hobby we all share. With training in WFR and just very familiar with the outdoors, I can utilize this bumper to carry extra fuel (or substitute for water) is a big plus if i want to bring a group far and allow for fuel reassurance

I need this to round out my all pro build, and so I can up size tires and still carry my dirtbike in the bed with the tailgate down. By the way, you can still drive with the tailgate down and swing out locked out correct? I was assuming this because all my other all pro stuff is nice and robust, so I assumed it would be no big deal with this bad boy. Current build has all pro apex aluminum front bumper and IFS skid, apex sliders, standard leaf pack, and a stage 6 Icon lift.

I can see both point-of-views on who "deserves or needs" this bumper. Main point- congrats to anyone who wins. Hopefully the recipient will use it to the fullest, whether it is a stock truck beginning it's transformation or a truck/owner that has put in the several hours/sweat/money that all of us hope to do. Makes sense that a person with a roughed up bumper wants it to replace a damaged one. Also for those hauling lots of gear in the bed and increased lower rear-clearance off-roading. There are soo many reasons for a want or need of this product. The above argument makes sense too because a new-comer will now have a fav manufacturer and likely spend hundreds-thousands on the remaining products needed to complete their truck.
    Best of luck all.

The white containers on the spare are rotopax. They are designed to hold water or fuel. The only mount that we design to fit on the spare is for the rotopax.

Why do I need this bumper?

I would love to install and showcase this bumper from AllPro on my Tacoma. For a while my Tacoma has been begging to get a new rear bumper, finding ways to get scraped and dented both off-road and on-road. A bumper such as this one would greatly please my Tacoma, both beefing up it’s rear end, as well as making itself more useful by carrying my soon to be added larger spare tire. The Tacoma was recently paid off and as such will be treated with a new suspension and tires soon. A new rear bumper would be a nice cherry on the top tying it all together for a perfect overland vehicle.

The Tacoma has been on many great adventures including both the North Maine Woods, Virginia, NC, Cape Lookout on the OBX and more and bumper like this would be a great addition in preparation for trips further out west to eventually the Mojave desert, Moab, Alaska and more!

Here are some pictures of my (currently stock) rig through the years and what it will hopefully look like soon, which with luck may also soon have a new rear bumper!

Question. Are the optional accessory mounts removable? Or they welded on?

Most important reason this is NEEDED? The wife won't sign off on any major overland trips ( like RT) claiming I'm going to "rip my bumpers off". And we all know a happy wife is a happy life! Now while I like my somewhat local trips to the mountains for camping, I'd like to get out and explore this country! Having this bumper would help the wife's approval, sure, but it would also get me better clearance, and allow for more bed storage to pack more along the road. Would get my Jerry cans and tire out of the bed, and make room for the important stuff. Recovery gear and... Some brewskis for after wheeling refreshments. This is more current setup. After the tire goes underneath, not much room left for camping gear.5f43b7e75f50f3c86860bb8e8409fe18_51d09ecb8996e534b6a3b9f31f29c79c3aca2d9a.jpg
