Lots of estimates goin on there... I estimate it will have 50000 hp, tow 8 million pounds, and be 4000 inches long.

27 mpg highway? On a 4x4? I highly doubt they will see a 6 mpg increase just from the new transmission. But if that's true, that's awesome.

The 1986 was made in Japan so it wins.

No money, all went to truck...
I think any truck or car compared like that would have be just as similar.

BUT how awesome would it be if you could buy the 1986 truck brand new? I'd sell my first born to buy it. Think I'm crazy? Well Japan is doing a one year factory run of the 1984 "Lando Curushah"

I still want the back to the future truck...bad.

Says locking diff with 2.7L. Is that likely?

Edit, also says crawl control, etc... Not happening on the 2.7L, unfortunately.

54 more horsepower, 44 more lb/ft of torque, and 5-7 mpg better. How is that even remotely "basically the same"?

Might be talking about the auto lsd that they have been using for a few years now. I tried mine out and it works very well. It's push button activated and uses the traction control and brakes to work.

Would be totally awesome! But I'd rather have a 1985. First year fuel injection, last year SFA. The year of perfection.

I had a 1987 5 speed longbed 4x4 that had a completely rebuilt 22r. It was so awesome, bought it for $3000. It got stolen and completely stripped down the bones. I'm still sick over that loss.

That MPG estimate is drastically over optimistic.

Funny they conveniently left out the new V6 estimated at over 280hp. A lot of weight in modern cars to shore up crumple zones. I'll take 180hp+ more, better gas mileage, and not dieing a car accident.

Your comparison missed that the 2016 Tacoma is a girl and the 1986 Toyota truck is a boy.
