Maybe the lack of a charger will force the 2nd Gen resale to remain high. Lol, probably not considering less than 1 percent of owners supercharge.

I figured it out a couple of days ago. Less than 1% of Tacoma owners still adds up to over 10,000 S/C installed and a few hundred sold per year at, what I imagine, is a very lucrative margin for dealers. I'm sure some dealers that sold a few of them will be upset that they won't have that little cash cow anymore.

My dealership is doing 3" lifts on big tires, wider fender flares, and a bunch of other things that TW enthusiasts do on their own. They make sure not to invalidate the Toyota warranty on the rest of the truck, and are happy to include all $9K of the upgrade in your financing.

No doubt. Dealers often throw tons of crap on vehicles at horrendous margins. It was nice though for dealers to have the S/C available since it was a full day of paid labor for the install.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
Well.. I saw the news of supercharger discontinued and I had to order one for myself. Ugh.. damn toyota always showing me the 50 states. .. if you catch my drift. .

Can't have a 2016 make more power than my 2015 after all.

My 2010 TRD Sport was recently totaled and I received a FAT check from the insurance, so I will be waiting for the 2016.

Don't get me wrong, I loved my Tacoma would be happily driving it today had it not been for one youngster texting while he drove.
With that being said, there were several things with the truck that I felt could be better; Interior noise level, fuel mileage, color choices (not a fan of ANY 2015 color) tailgate function of a 60's truck and interior styling.

The only one of my minor gripes that doesn't seem to have been addressed is the rear window.

I've already spoken to the fleet manager at my local dealer who assures me I will have the first pearl blue DCSB 2WD Sport they get.
My settlement check will only be about $7k difference. Kind of a no brainer to my wife and I considering how the older ones have more than held their value.

Anybody who is looking to sell/trade their DOUBLE CAB SPEEDWAY BLUE TACOMA *LONGBED* (2wd or 4wd) when the 2016 comes out...let me know. I'll give full bluebook value or do a straight trade for my 2006 4x4 Speedway Blue Tacoma. I don't care if what I get is a 2wd...I just want the longbed in Speedway Blue. I'd honestly rate my truck at about a 9/10 condition for having 152,000 miles on it.

    My Truck's Features =

    - 4x4
    - Short-Bed
    - Nearly All Stock
    - TRD Sport Package
    - SR5
    - 152,000 miles
    - Automatic
    - New O2 Sensors
    - Flexalite Electric Fan + Stock as spare + Hayden Thermostat with Blue LED Indicator of when fan turns on (shown in cab)
    - Cherry Bomb Extreme Muffler
    - New Spark Plugs
    - K&N Drop in Lifetime Air Filter

    - New Battery
    - New Gas Cap + Old one for backup
    - New PCV Valve
    - Full Synthetic Oil used every change
    - New Rear Diff Oil
    - New Radiator Cap + Old one for spare
    - HID Headlights + Old halogens for spare
    - Great condition (1-5 dings / 2 paint chips approx)...Nearly 0% oxidation
    - New Idler Pulleys + Old ones for backup
    - New Serpentine belt

Note = I am willing to trade for another member's Tacoma of the following criteria:

    - Same Color (Speedway Blue)
    - Non-Salvage
    - Non-Smoker
    - Decent / Good Condition...Wear and tear is understandable...pretty much similar condition as mine...
    - *Long Bed*

Yes, it looks quite amazing. My favorite truck on the road minus gas mileage.

I am with you, just sitting back with the money in the Bank waiting for the 2016's to come on line.

I agree with the Rear Window and the thing I would add is the Power Seats, how hard would it be to add them since they are on most entry level vehicles now.

Toyota is kinda weird about what they include and what they don't...

The good news is what they don't include.

They do not come with a membership to the 10 least reliable vehicles every year.

Ford, and RAM have both hit this year again.

New to forum and new to Toyota....need advice please. Contacted dealer today to "order" a 2015 Access Cab V6 Pre-Runner Gray Metallic. Dealer emailed me back informing me he can no longer place orders for 2015 models. I called Toyota corporate and they confirmed this. If I order now the factory will fill the order with a 2016 model. Again newbie here but from what I can gather the Access cab doesn't seem to be that popular. A dealer search found 5 - 500 miles away. I have been to two different dealers and neither one had an Access cab on the lot. The vehicle I want stickers at $28K and the dealer offered $2800 off which I thought was a pretty good deal. He did say that he could possibly get one from another region by going through his Toyota rep and seeing what he could trade for.

I went back out on the web and looked at the 2016's and now they are really starting to grow on me. I have reservations about buying the 1st year of a new production, but maybe with Toyota's it isn't a big deal. I haven't been able to find anything out there as it relates to Access Cab Prerunner V6. I don't want 4 wheel drive and don't want 4 doors.

Questions for you - should I jump on the offer and let him find a 2015 for the price he quoted or should I hold out for the 2016? It really seems improved based on what I've read and the styling is starting to grow on me. Has anyone seen info on the Access Cab Pre-runner that they could post a link to? Lastly - do you think dealers will be willing to deal on the new ones or do you think they will stick close to list for awhile?

    Thanks for your input!!

Toyota isn't big on deals in the first place.

Access cab and prerunner takes the biggest hit on resale. And has the most wiggling room to catch a break. Where are you located?

Also welcome to the forum! I love the access cab myself!

I took it off to install a net, which I still have, and included in the dealio. Still have it.

Thanks for the compliments. I've since done the black headlight mod also. It looks ok, but I'll probably buy the stock ones again if I keep my truck.

You're more likely to get a deal on a 2015 because they like to clear out space for new models. But even then they don't really move much. I doubt you'd be able to move at all on the price of a 2016 because they will be in demand.
