Well this is worthless. Tried to register the app. Claims my VIN is invalid. I've typed it 6 times and double checked all my documents from purchase. Same VIN on everything.
Window sticker even shows I have the Entune Multimedia Package (HD Weather, etc). I have Entune Plus. Won't recognize my VIN on the app (cell phone) or their website.

I took a picture of the sticker inside the drivers side door and it registered fine with the VIN. It shows up correctly on the site / app also but I just can't get it to work with the JBL / Nav.

I can only get the Entune apps to work if my iphone 6 is connected to the truck through USB.Everything else works fine through Bluetooth, phone, messages, music. I rarely ever use Entune though so no biggie. I have a 2013 limited with entune and JBL Sub.

Suppose I'll try that next. That's the only thing I haven't tried other than going to the dealer but fuck that.... I hate going to the dealer.

I am using an Iphone 6 and mine works great. You do have to have the app open and connected to get the data to the phone.

You need Entune PREMIUM which is the Nav unit for it to work. I bought the Nav from FLtrucks and used the vin from my wife's 2015 Rav to get the app.

Same issue here. Maybe it has to be the high end Entune HU for our VINs to work.

EDIT: Should have read through the entire thread, I guess we're stuck with HD Weather since we don't have the NAV equipped Entune

$450 from FLTrucks in the buy sell section. Money well spent for me.

For that kind of money you might as well buy an aftermarket head unit to begin with!

I would do this over after market but I have a few things that I'd rather have than the NAV entune. Thanks though!

I was under the impression the only difference was one had NAV and the one I got didn't. And since I didn't want NAV I didn't see any reason in spending that much more. But I'm happy with what I have so I'll be saving up for other things (camper shell, bed mat, roof rack, etc.) first.

I've seen iPhones and iPads bog down from bad updates and resource memory leaks. Usually a hard boot will clear them up. Press and hold the home and power buttons at the same time for about a minute or so and don't let go until you see a black screen with a white apple. Then let go and let the phone recycle itself. May not be your problem, but it might work if your phone is choking on resources.

Could be but the phone is brand new. Hard reset and I'll lose everything I've put on it (not that big of a deal)

^^ Try holding the power and home buttons at the same time until the screen goes blank and the white apple appears. That'll do a reset without wiping the phone. Mine was being wonky this morning, and that reset cleared it up for me. Might work out some of your kinks...if not it's not a difficult thing to try.

I'll give that a shot when I get back to the truck. Thanks :)
