My brother cried when he sold his 2004 tacoma

My brother cried when the buyer drove off with his 2004 tacoma. I have a 2000 tacoma too. I hope I don't do the same if the day comes.

 

I got teary when I sold my 1985 Monte Carlo. Some people, like me, get very attached to our cars/trucks.

 

even though I swapped my 99 for an 04, when I traded it in, I felt like I was leaving a beloved family pet behind

Why sell it? Mine will double as my casket. I'll rest in peace and my family will save $10k on funeral expenses.

 

I will have tears in my eyes if i have to part ways with my 2012 Tacoma someday!Ya its not a 1st gen.but i can relate!When i had to sell my 2007 Tundra back in 2010 for financial reasons i cried a bit!Selling the Tundra for family reasons was the right decision.Family 1st!Then if necessary Toyota's!LOL!

 

He needed the money to help purchase his first home.

 

Get a camper shell. Problem solved.

 

Things are different when you are married and have children.

Be nice guys. This guy may love his Tacoma but he loves his wife/family more. He's doing the right thing, that takes strength and guts.

 

Kids are one thing, but it's a toss up at best between a wife and a Tacoma.

 

Then again, should the dealership offer an Abrams with a lifetime supply of fuel, I might have to turn in the keys to the wife.
