good eye, missed that. I also hadn't noticed that that one has a mileage warranty and is only 47 lbs also... ..

Anybody who is looking to sell/trade their DOUBLE CAB SPEEDWAY BLUE TACOMA *LONGBED* (2wd or 4wd)...let me know. I'll give full bluebook value or do a straight trade for my 2006 4x4 Speedway Blue Tacoma. I don't care if what I get is a 2wd...I just want the longbed in Speedway Blue. I'd honestly rate my truck at about a 9/10 condition for having 152,000 miles on it.

    My Truck's Features =

    - 4x4
    - Short-Bed
    - Nearly All Stock
    - TRD Sport Package
    - SR5
    - 152,000 miles
    - Automatic
    - New O2 Sensors
    - Flexalite Electric Fan + Stock as spare + Hayden Thermostat with Blue LED Indicator of when fan turns on (shown in cab)
    - Cherry Bomb Extreme Muffler
    - New Spark Plugs
    - K&N Drop in Lifetime Air Filter

    - New Battery
    - New Gas Cap + Old one for backup
    - New PCV Valve
    - Full Synthetic Oil used every change
    - New Rear Diff Oil
    - New Radiator Cap + Old one for spare
    - HID Headlights + Old halogens for spare
    - Great condition (1-5 dings / 2 paint chips approx)...Nearly 0% oxidation
    - New Idler Pulleys + Old ones for backup
    - New Serpentine belt

Note = I am willing to trade for another member's Tacoma of the following criteria:

    - Same Color (Speedway Blue)
    - Non-Salvage
    - Non-Smoker
    - Decent / Good Condition...Wear and tear is understandable...pretty much similar condition as mine...
    - *Long Bed*

For those that actually wheel their DCLB, what have you noticed that is a disadvantage other than the wheel base? I bought my regular cab for its short wheel base but have a kid on the way and will be upgrading to a DCLB by the time it's born. Need my 6' bed, use it way to much to go to the 5' bed and will want the cab space for car seat and all the crap to go with it. I have concerns for this being a trail truck, mostly see the DCSB on the trails.

Most of my wheeling is Allegheny Mountains in PA on fire roads as well with an occasional trip to Rausch in PA. I won't be doing rock gardens either, most blues at Rausch. I camp a lot and usually sleep in the bed with the soft cap so definitely want to continue with the 6' bed. Plus, always have steel in the back for making sliders or various other things.

stuff that makes it better for my use...
I used mine in stock form on some basic dirt trails in Sedona Arizona & I scraped the exhaust crossover quickly & then the crossmember, just minor scrapes however it now its sits with a 3" lift & is more user friendly...

I use mine. Pretty hard. Just finished my high-clearance bumper! Line x coating finished it nicely.

You all have given me faith. I am pretty careful when picking lines and know when and when not to attempt stuff. Plus it'll be lifted almost immediately and I would fabricate some sliders, skid plates and bumpers.

You can poke around my build and see some of the stuff I have taken my truck on and I don't even push it as hard as I could. Very capable. Definitely build stuff if you can, it is satisfying and usually turns out different.

Honestly, IMO the length is only an issue at stock height. all the stuff i got hung up on in Shamokin and Centralia i would have drove right over with about 2 inches of lift. Only other downside is sliders and skids will cost a fortune because of how long they are. If you want, we can get together and you can drive my truck around, its still at stock height, but depending on when it is i might have my newer suspension from Cmack on the truck.

Doesn't cost me a fortune since I make them myself haha. Maybe if we all head up to Rausch I will follow you around and see how it does. I've read a lot of people say stock height is tough but a small lift and 33's and you're fairly unstoppable.

Raush would be a good place, never been there before. I see a lot of DCLB truck that go with 2" of lift and either 265/75 or 255/85 tires will go everywhere

    I'm one of them :spy:

I love wheeling my DCLB. There are added challenges for sure, but I wouldn't want it to be easy anyway! I have found that the only thing you have 0 control of is high centering, but just get skids, sliders and a winch and you're good to go!

My best advice is bring a spare driveshaft, they drop real low on these long pigs.

With a full set of skids and sliders, I've thrown my truck at some challenging obstacles including rock gardens. Compared to friends, I do seem to get a few issues in the tight spots and I've high-centered a couple of times but the skids generally prevent any damage. I was in the same boat - I had a newborn daughter when I purchased the truck so a DCSB was not an option. You shouldn't have any problems with FS roads even in stock form and you will forever bless the decision to have a 6' bed.

Nice. I will never go with a 5' bed. I sleep in it when we camp, haul dogs, haul wood, mulch, stone, steel. I had a Colorado (before I grew up) with the 5' bed and it was useless, ended up buying a trailer.
