I have about a thousand dollars to spend on audio equipment. I am going to buy on Crutchfield but they don't have 2010 Tacoma updated in system yet. Are the 2009 the same as the 2010 as far as sizing as to what will fit or not. Also, any advice on HU and speakers. Probably want a small sub. Any info appreciated.

Alot of it depends on what your looking for. Are you looking into a complete system, what kind of power do you want to run. Really need more info. We could get you lined up pretty nicely for $1000, although I would look to other places than Crutchfield for bang for the buck.

    .

I have a 2009 and am interested in almost the same situation ... except I want to up grade the speakers too.

    SOS

PS ... I can do the work, but I would need some good DIY guides and this is what I has heard that Crutchfield has.

Basically a DIY guide on how to removed door panels and dash parts (where screws & connectors & etc. ... and how to remove them).

The 2009 and the 2010 are the EXACT same truck. The absolute only difference is the 2009 has adjustable cupholders and the 2010 does not.
