Phil, here's a little info for the questions you texted me.

    1) Factory roof rack removal. If you plan to use the PrInSu rack you'll want to remove the outer rails of the factory roof rack. It will leave threaded holes in the roof and you can put bolts into them to plug them or do real bodywork to finish it off if you are ambitious. It's not uncommon for the roof to have some rust building up under the feet of the rails. On my old 80 the nutsert busted off too so I just had open holes that I plugged with some silicone and called it good. When you get the rails off it will look like this.

You can leave the rubber strips on the other roof ribs. Or take them off, totally up to you.

    2) Snorkel. The Safari Snorkel (or the TMS one like mine) will go through the fender in the same place. This photo should give you an idea where it is. It's pretty much a straight shot from that large hole into the engine bay. There is an opening in the inner fender of the engine bay which is probably unobstructed on yours with the diesel conversion, but that is where the factory air intake goes inside the fender.

this photo shows where the air intake comes through the fender and connects to the airbox.

I'll get some pics of my sliders soon.

LOL....just laughing because a few months ago my in laws were on a trip and we took them to the airport in their Benz blue tech SUV yuppie thing, we had it for a couple weeks and when I went to fill it up I damn near pumped some 87 in that bitch...I already selected it and was just about pull the trigger. New cars are always fun - My current taco is the first auto I have ever owned and the second day I had it we were driving to the beach, talking away...not paying attention and full on " pushed the clutch in" with my left foot doing about 40... ABS works

Nahh my wife wrecked her car while I was out and drive the shit out of my truck...which was a stick... and she couldn't drive a manual...and would get spotted and photographed doing 95 in a 55 and sent to me on deployment... never fucking again will my shit be left anywhere near her while I am out of country.
