ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED? The run pretty quick for an suv in stock trim. 14.9 quarter I think my friend ran, my dad's f150 wouldn't touch anything under 16. still want to sell the 3rd gen and get one one of these days, but not before college :/

 

maybe i expect too much. I had a custom tuned 4.8 in my silverado that was way more responsive. Im just mad they dont offer anything in terms of tuning.

 

Fortunately, corporate security doesn't have that kinda clout.

If they got pissed enough though, I think they could eventually scare up a tow truck.

 

Yea I was pretty upset lol.

Well, a towed truck is a good $100 or so to get released lol. There would be plenty of flat tires around the security shack if that happened lol

 

I'd put my money on a 4.7 runner beating a 4.8 Silverado straight line, but I do understand lack of support. What's the deal with the superchargers? Heard they discontinued them cause they were too much for the engine?

 

There's no chance my 4Runner would beat my old Silverado. None chance.

On another note, picking up my DMZ SUA kit this weekend! Tim just called to let me know he's done! Booya! Now I just need shocks and bumps for the rear and I think I've got all my parts collected!

Within the next few months...next month I'll be getting more OT than I really want, but my bank account isn't going to complain lol, so I can pay some more stuff off. But probably Augustish, or so

 

As of right now, DTF. He's gonna put everything together for me, only because I don't have a welder or a cutter or the skills to use them well enough to trust my life to them lol.

I still need extended axles and spindle gussets and I think I've got just about everything I need.

Haha won't be offroading for probably at least a good 6 months right now. Performance parts are getting installed straight after SC is installed at the dealer, then I'll probably just be saving up for labor charges to install LT. Should take a couple months, then gotta start looking for tires and rims, I'm leaning towards the SCS F5s bronze and I'm looking into Toyo Open country RTs or Hankook MTs or BFG KO2s. I'm thinking to start off with 295/75/16 or 285, since I won't be running more than 2" of lift or so. So then I can load those up in the trick with the rest of the crap and drop it off at DTF
