@JBecker It looks like you have to have fogs in order to make that work. Would not be difficult to take to your local fab shop though and have them make you something up to mount to.

Damn never thought I'd see the day that Greentreefab found the internet! LOL Tell Dan I say hey...

now how much is a set of the rock lights shipped to 80012... thinking of using them not as rock lights but as lights in my bed under my RTT and what not... just gathering ideas though... as I don't even have a rack built yet LOL

Set of 4 or 6? Hi-power or low (I'd go with low, high powers are crazy bright) and also what color?
Dan uses the computer here more than you'd think, but I do most of this stuff.

don't know... what's the difference in price for each in low? and amber if they have it (attracts less bugs)

and when I was there (05-08) the only computer stuff Dan or Cliffy did was to look up Sledneck videos or Baja 1000 research! lol... glad to see they've joined the interwebs... I miss bs'n in his shop at his house. Crazy how knowledgeable that guy is...

Actually the kits are all hi power I believe, it's one or the other but you don't get the option. So you'd be looking at 332.49 shipped for 4 or 455.99 for 6, amber is available.

Lots of cool stuff around the corner happening with Rigid. One of the things that I love about Rigid is their ability to innovate. As THE pioneer in this industry Rigid has continually charged ahead of the competition by creating new applications as well as new implementations of the LED. Some people say the price is too high, but what I saw when I toured the facility in Arizona was that margin widely diminished by research and development, continuing to push the barrier of what these tiny lights can accomplish. The off brand knockoff of a knockoff's are doing absolutely nothing for this industry other than flooding it with junk. They are taking the work Rigid has done and dumbing it down, using vastly less expensive components that compromise reliability, and dramatically reduce performance, all so they can sell it for dirt cheap.

I didn't buy a Tacoma because it was the best deal. I bought a Tacoma because it provided me with reliability, it was a name I knew I could stand behind, and I knew without a shadow of a doubt that the company would still be there in years to come making reliable parts should anything need to be repaired. The same thoughtfulness went into my decision to carry only Rigid lights. They aren't going anywhere. The products have the best warranty in the industry and the customer service is absolutely unmatched. They are not the cheapest, and I hope they never ARE the cheapest because without Rigid innovating this industry loses all it's momentum and we stop getting lights like the RDS, or the A-series with Triplex coating, or the Wake Flame.
You need capital to innovate, and for me, I'd far rather give my money to a company that I have a personal investment in. Whether you know it or not, your purchase of a Rigid light allows them to wow you next year at SEMA with whatever crazy thing they come up with next.

Yea but if I buy the latest and greatest NOW, I won't be able to afford the amazing stuff next year!!!!!!

For the record, I bought the cheap rigid knock offs (all rigid covers fit perfectly lol) with every intention of replacing each bar 1 by 1 with Rigid as I can afford them. As it is now I'm still going to putting over 40k lumens down range and I can't wait to double that with Rigid.

(I paid easily a quarter price for my lights compared to rigid, just to have lighting and to use the money for suspension, but made sure to pick the rigid knock offs and not the random lighting with weird mounts)

Don't go off the manufacture output claims. A set of Rigid dualys, with an output of 1568 lms, outs out (when I tested) 235 Lux at around 100+ feet. The same size lights from Amazon, rated at 3500 lumens, and 20 watts, hit the light meter at 160 Lux. BIG difference.

People read these Lumen outputs, and automatically think they are getting awesome light output, "for a fraction of the price!", when they aren't. LED's can be ratted in may ways. Total output, "Out the Front", etc. AND.......At what voltage? Most of these Chinese lights are given a lumen rating that it a "Total" lumen output, and at max voltages, usually around 20+ volts, and at times, as much as 30 or more.

Have you tested the new projector lenses that are coming out now? The "4D" or whatever they're calling it now. Supposedly much more focused light. I'm kind of upset that I bought my lights and then like 2 months later these focused lenses start popping up everywhere.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't these lenses based off the Rigid hyper line? Or E2, sorry I can't remember off the top of my head?

Rigid measures their lights "Out the Front", and at the ratted operating power. So does a few other manufactures. SO......When thinking that you are getting similar light outputs, for less cash......welp........Youre not.

I haven't tested any yet, but I'd love to get my hands on one, if someone wants to send one to me. If its the same ones sold off Amazon, and Ebay, more than likely, they are driving a 3 watt LED at 1.8 watts, but claiming the output at the 3 watt rating.

I understand, and agree, but many build with a budget and lights that are only used a couple times a month IF that... it's hard to fork $1500 vs $500 for something that looks similar and isn't a $1000 downgrade in performance. don't get me wrong, I love my rigid lights, but it's a hard choice to make to say add a 50" Rigid Light Bar... or a 50" Chinese bar and a locker. especially when I can't tell the difference in performance unless they're side by side (and even then... )

I have two sets of Rigid's on my truck, love them... looking at the rock lights too... just voicing an opinion
