Skydiving is a lot of fun, definitely should try it. I normally hate heights too

Yeah, its a blast! Probably doing the 18,000' jump out of Skydive SB in 2-3 weeks with a group of family and friends! I've never bungee jumped though.....but that's happening next weekend!! :headbang:

Yea, I couldn't help it. I called the guy. Unfortunately I deleted the texts, but its a long travel front, not bumped or strapped. The rear is stock. The interior is also red...it has BRO written all over it. The salvage is from a rear ending where "the bed was bent and it was less expensive to total than to replace the bed"
Gotta laugh at that - it probably bent the frame.

    SUPER FUN - do it.

Did you get a group discount?

Nice!! Are you able to jump on your own yet or do you have to still be strapped to someone?

Do you get that falling feeling the whole way down?
I equate it to the feeling you get on a roller coaster when you start to descend after that long climb up. I can't really do roller coasters(not the big ones anyways) & really don't care for that feeling you get when you start falling. Someone told me you feel that at first but then it goes away. Either you get used to it or something...

Yeah, but their group discounts blow!! it's only a couple dollars unless you have like 12 or more.

It's only there in the beginning, but I personally barely feel it.

I haven't taken the class to jump alone, I've just done it for fun tandem. I might do it someday though...

I've only jumped twice, once in Camarillo and once in Lompoc, but I didn't get the stomach drop feeling either. It's more of a rush, adrenaline, and then realizing how freakin' fast you're falling to the ground. Once they pull the parachute, it's quiet and super fun to steer and bank and dive.

I have jumped with sky dive sb 3 times. It's fuckin awesome. 18k is the way to go. The extra free fall time is worth it. You don't get the stomach drop feeling because there is nothing around you for your body to sense falling. Kinda weird.

Damn, now I'm getting all pumped to jump!! Just watch my first jump on dvd! Scariest part was the seconds it took to lean out of the plane. After that, it all insane fun!

I'm thinking about trying it.... I'm just wondering if it's for me or not. I've had the chance to bungee jump and passed it up and I'm not too keen on roller coasters. Not trying to sound like a debbie downer or anything...it's just my body hates me during & after things like that. So, I'm just trying to determine if sky diving would be something for me or not...

Maybe it's all perspective. If I'm viewing it like "Ohhh crap...I'm going to be falling 18 thousand feet!!!" then the experience may be traumatic. Or if I perceive it to be like "Hell yeah...I'm going to be floating above the world and all it's on goings.....an experience of a life time!!" then it could be a positive experience and possibly one that I'd repeat.

The worst case scenario is that I throw up or passout right?
Well...that's not "the worst case scenario" but, you get what I'm saying.. haha

Yes. A buddy of mine got sick 10 minutes after we left the skydiving place. It was hilarious. He was the only one and our level of beer consumption the night before may have been a contributing factor :drunk::puke:

no, he barfed after we jumped, drove back to the hangar and all piled into the big passenger van our bachelor party had to go back to SB for more partying. You can get queasy about 30 minutes after you jump because the adrenaline wears off.

Looks like it's time to change out my front brake pads. Any recommendations?

Not on Pads but, I'd make sure they resurface or machine your rotors. In the past I took my autos to Superior Break & Alignment but, they have downsized and only have a small shop on Milpas now. The dealership emailed me some coupons but I can't find them now...
After my whole front end nonsense & driveshaft vibration issuse is all said and done, I'll probably be ready for brakes too. Let me know if you score a good deal somewhere...
