It's really frustrating when you try to have intelligent conversations on here and some random guy who has a beef with you comes in and starts trying to pick at any little string they see. This was a conversation about HP on the 7GR. Now, for him, it's about making fun of me for correctly describing a very common practice at point of sale outlets that deliver large and bulky goods.

I have no problems with shots fired across the bow when I'm wrong, but everyone who works at a place shipping things by light and medium truck knows exactly what I'm talking about when I say not to rely on the computer weights when loading to the near maximum limits of any vehicle. There are other factors you need to consider, especially since the computer number is rounded and does not factor in any packaging.

Whether it's him blaming me for rants when he was the first one to multi quote the oblivion out of things or not understanding that not everyone who ships things has scales on site it just takes away from the conversation until it's just a personal battle with everyone breaking out the

I've liked some of his posts. I don't just want to ignore someone over there viewpoint but this guy literally never seems to have anything better to do than hop on his high hobby horse and fling his BS around everywhere. It's annoying.

@ForeRunner I'm done with the off topic post. If you noticed I've contributed well to this thread on topic except when insulted. The ranting posts are done. They were never my intent, but when someone keeps trying to throw me under the bus I don't think it's unreasonable to try and move myself out of the way.

I have a funny feeling the moment I block him he'll just go on a rant about how awesome he is because I "surrendered" or some other thing like that.

Anyways, I'm dropping it. I love Tacomaworld and use it almost daily to help me with my mods. I don't feel the need for a ban.

Hopefully we get some more information on the 7GR soon. I'd like to see how this engine compares to the 1GR. I'm sticking with my truck for at least the next five years, but odds are after than I'll be buying another Tacoma.

Probably not many, its still GM product.. despite looking more and more to have better characteristics (More HP, more Towing and probably better MPG) . Lets Hope Toyota gets their shit together and builds something better .... Sometimes what Car companies need is kick in the nuts to learn (case and point Nissan Titan)

Oh and as promised ....

 

I bet the 7gr has 485 hp and 600 lbs/ft torques...
