What's the most popular shocks to pair with the spindles in the rear? Looking to just lift 4" in the front, and just 1.5" in the rear.

Big ups to Marie and the Headstrong crew for the customer service.
They had these shipped to me real quick.

These things are straight beefy..i'm impressed. Can't wait to get these things on. They are getting painted as we speak.
Will be ditching the 885s and putting my stock coils (pictured) back on my 5100s.

n00b spindle question(s), I've been searching and asking but I'm like a child first learning about these things. I'm currently running the Icon Stage II kit with 2.5 in front with icon tubular UCA and Nitto Terra Grapplers 285x75 16. looking to upgrade to the MaxTrac spindles because they are way beefier than stock and most guys seem to run them, so I assume there's a reason. if this info is posted already, i'd appreciate a link. thanks

the spindles add lift, but does it add travel or droop?

is there an advantage to this 4" lift height in the front?

with the spindles installed, can i take the preload outta my shocks?

i heard they push out your tires 3/4" on both sides. i already experience the tires crunching the inside of the stock fenders when the front gets stuffed. do I need to alter the fenders to accommodate the tires being out further or does the lift height solve that issue?

sorry for the dumb questions, just want to know the advantages of upgrading besides being a beefier spindle.

    thanks in advance.

As far as I know they droop out your lower arms a hair and raise your upper arms a hair, Don't quote me on that, i don't fully understand the geometry involved or I'd be a fabricator myself :D.

Yes You can take the preload out of your shocks

Yes they push your tires out an additional 3/4", but, because of the extra 4" of lift, you should not rub your fenders anymore, but with 33's I would recommend a cab mount chop and lose your mud flaps.

Your travel should remain the same.

With enough lift you shouldn't have to do th cab mount chop. When I had my 285's with the spindles & 5100's set @ 1.75 I had no rubbing. Now that I switched to 35's I rub a little.
We did the 4" Maxtrac kit for a local member not too long ago & I want to say with 285's he only rubbed the mud flaps

Good to know! Thanks. I'll hold off on the chop until after I replace the spindles and see if anything needs to be done.

    No problem.
You can also adjust your coilovers a little to gain more clearance.
    My truck before 35's.
