Just got back from camping with the fam damily near Kelly flats.

Kelly flats and 7 mile are both still closed BTW.

Story from the campground dude is that they claim there are some large puddles and they're afraid people will break trail around them.

sounds like some bs to me....

@BDN aren't you part of the club that maintainsKelly flats?

Anybody going or been to Telluride Bluegrass Festival before? I'm packing for it right now and can't decide what's necessary to bring (or contain my excitement). Stoked to use the RTT for a full week of fun!!!

Sevenmile closes for a bit during peak runoff and that is likely what's going on. I'll bet it opens within a week or so. I have a long list of medium difficulty trails up north that I have been meaning to check out and I feel comfortable enough to do them solo, if needed. We should do Kelly flats again this summer though. And hit up bald mountain. Maybe get a TW camp meet at the north sand hills!

The runoff down 285 is insane right now. Talk about raging rivers. Took Guanella Pass over to Georgetown and the I 70 corridor is just as bad. Talk about some water pressure!

You mean on Kelly? I can see that. I've only run it once, but there are at least a couple of places where high runoff/water creates spots people would go around. In fact most of the visible damage on my (stock) front bumper came from a waterhole on that run - it had a really steep entry angle and gravel on the bottom. There's also a spot where the trail tends to erode out if wet and driven on. Green Ridge, Bald Mountain, and to a lesser degree Kelley and Sevenmile are somewhat notorious for this.

    Your credit card. :D

Yes it usually does close for spring runoff, and we're certainly getting that right now a bit later than usual. I'd have sworn I saw something somewhere that Sevenmile was actually closed due to flood damage and would potentially not open this year. But I can't find any reference to that now, or maybe I'm thinking last year though I was pretty sure it was flooding *after* the 2013 flood.

Yeah it's up. Not sure what day you were here a few weeks ago, but we're under flood warnings right now. It's been at around 7.5 feet all week, which is where flooding starts to occur, and it peaked Friday at about 8.5 and slightly lower yesterday. All the bike trail underpasses are closed, but it hasn't spilled over into some of the overflow/flood control areas yet. The September 2013 floods when they shut all the bridges in town down was 11.5.

I'm gonna try one more time on here lol...

I'm looking for someone who has removed their stock skid plate and replaced it with an aftermarket skid besides RCI Industries. I need the stock brackets that are found underneath the stock skid plate in order to install my RCI skid. Josh told me to drill the skid and put spacers under it, but I'm not trying to do that. I mounted it all up and I would have to space it 2" down below the front bumper, which I don't want to do.

Let me know if you have these brackets or if you think you have them, and I'll come get em

I had those brackets for well over a year just getting kicked around the garage floor.

I think I finally threw them out about 2 weeks before I knew you needed them.
