This is how those threads go south, fanboys get their panties in the bunch and attack as soon as facts presented. So somebody who claims to know presented document which makes new engine look like car engine. Immediately fanboys start crying.
Look if its crap than its crap no amount of fact twisting is going to help here. put lipstick on the pig its still lipstick on the same pig. And facts are that
#1 Towing is going to be 6800 LB - Less than Colorado/Canyon
#2 HP will be around 280 - Less than Colorado Canyon
#3 Torque is going to be around 250 lb-ft - Less not only than Colorado and Canyon but also less than current 1GR engine.
Now last item left is MPG but with those specs that truck better be making 30MPG on Highway.
Numbers I am guessing will be published after people no longer order 2015 Trucks... Toyota is not that stupid and does not want you to run and order 2015 instead.

*official Toyota model reference states it's 7GR* #FAIL.

 

2GR-FKS as the thread states. Like I told you multiple times, this engine runs Otto cycle with wide VVT range that allows it to run a modified Atkinson cycle like the RC-F UR and NX200t. The 2GR-FXE does not do that. It is always Atkinson cycle.

 

I thought your last nugget of wisdom was Toyota wouldn't release info while people were still ordering 2015's
