The other day in the garage, I couldn't find my utility "cuts all" scissors ... I looked all over the place and while I was up at Home Depot, just went ahead and bought another pair.

Couple days later, I pulled open one of my toolbox drawers and walla ... there was my old pair .....I could have SWORN I looked in there - they were right on top

Then I sold my 4 Runner to buy my Tacoma, and while I was taking out all the stuff you compile on the inside, I couldn't find my whisk brush ... C'mon man ! ..FINE ... next time I was out, I just bought another one, and -you guessed it- couple days later, I found the original one.

Now I can't find my Gorilla lug wrench .... what the heck ???

I'm sure if I buy a new one, I'll find the old one ... LOL

    Ever happen to you ?

You have this when you use multidimensional Garages and Tool boxes .

I think tools also hide because they have a life of their own and don`t want to be bothered.

It is amazing how many wrenches and sockets I have in 10mm 12mm 14mm 17mm and 19mm and can never find any.

    Doesn't happen to me.

My wife is OCD about things lying around. If a tool is laying about in the house, she brings it down to the work bench in the basement. If it's anywhere else, she puts it on the work bench in the garage.

It drives me fucking nuts, because she'll do that when I'm in the middle of a project, even as I'm working on something! I'll turn around to pick it up and it's freakin' gone! She's like a freakin' ghost. She does the same with cutlery when I'm cooking or prepping food.

    :goingcrazy:

But God love her, I don't lose any tools, but I am slowly losing my mind.

Happens to me all the time, has been happening even more lately because we sold our house and most of my stuff's in storage now. Really common conversation with the wife..."have you seen the ______, oh yeah, it's in storage..."

I used to, now I just buy an extra wrench, take it home and beat it to death, burn it and bend it. I then toss it in the drawer with the other wrenches. It reminds the other wrenches to behave and not act up.

I've tossed socket sets in the metal recycling bin on several occasions after finding a missing socket. Nothing pisses me off more than a missing component to a set.

My junk yard tool bag is the worst, I'm always looking for something in there that I already found once before.

I'm worse at putting something down while working on my truck, or anything really, and not remembering where I put it. Drives me nuts. You always say the infamous line "But I just had it, right here!"

Otherwise, I keep my tools nicely put up and know where everything is (from the beginning) lol

I hate to admit it, but I was working once in the stockroom, and put down a scanning gun- then I couldn't find it ... so I went in the Security room and backed up the digital camera to see where I put it --- LOL

Yeah. It's not that bad when it's a small $ item. But when it's the new remote... That pisses me off like nothing else

As a college student without much money and scraping to buy upgrades for his taco, I just wish I had the tools to loose. Lol!
Tools are expensive as frick. I even get 60% off because of my RCC autoshop affiliation and they're still too expensive.o_O

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I still can't find the remote to my Sharp boom box that is sitting next to the bed. The first time this happened I just went ahead and ordered a new remote from Sharp. Now they're both missing.
