I looked this up through the search, I understand that there are different options for carriers and price tools for calculating. Just wondering if anyone has gone through this and come up with the cheapest option to get a front diff. from the West Coast to the East Coast with drop off and prices?

The only reason I'm asking is the part is in San Diego at a buddies house and I want to make this a easy as possible for him without breaking me. Since I live in Redding, around 13 hours away...

Right now I'm thinking throw it in a 5 gallon bucket, seal it and take it down to ship? Anyone done this? Cheapest carrier? Weight?

    I appreciate the help.

    Thanks,
    -Jon

    ...too much shit to list.
Have ECGS send you a UPS tag. It will be like half the price compared to you shipping it as Joe Customer.
5 gallon bucket works perfectly, done it a few times.

That's what I was thinking. Thanks for heads up.

Another good option, but I'm trying to stay away from that as my buddy is already complaining about the process and time.
