    Installed a shiny new battery!

I want to give a shout out to Sears Auto Center, they are good people. Didn't mess around with the battery saying it needed to charge, just said, yeah you need a new one. I had a Die Hard Gold series with a 3 year warranty. When I went up to the counter, the computers were down. The guy asked how old it was, I said 2-3 years, and he just gave me a new one, even without being able to check my history. This time I had my own tools to do the quick swap out (in the past, they have loaned me the tools to do it myself). The guys let me leave it in the bay for shade. No pressure to pay them to swap it out. In the Phoenix heat, Die Hards seem to hold up the best. I have been buying Die Hard batteries since I had my first Toyota pickup (1980) and I will keep buying them.

Got a good amount of stuff done today.
    -re strapped my tire
-adjusted the steering rack knuckle (I think it's on the correct spline now)
-adjusted king shocks in the rear so they are || instead of / \
    -lowered front coilovers a little
    -reattached front drive shaft
-adjusted boots on cv's so they aren't rubbing anymore

Hopefully I can do the steering weld mod sometime next week..

Any tips on dropping the starter? The transmission dipstick holder and the exhaust manifold make it pretty tight. I'm thinking maybe universal sockets and extensions.

A related question...it seems like the starter would get pretty hot sitting so close to the manifold. Any ideas on rigging a heat shield?

i used a massive stack of small extensions and a swivel ahaha. I accidentally bent dip stick mount trying to get the damn thing out though probably better off taking it off. v6 with auto trans?

There's still some times where I could find an axe helpful, but when I'm out busting trail in the spring, sometimes I spend more time cutting than driving. Think I cleared a dozen or so trees yesterday.
