bare with me as I am a bit frustrated. So I ordered a set of supersliders from rocky road outfitters and the package showed up in rough shape (thanks UPS). Turns out that the mounting hardware fell out when the package was ripped open enroute. So I contacted them and they sent me some hardware and today I went to install them and turns out they are too long. Both ends are rubbing my fender flares which will end up destroying them in no time. So I go to check the other side and well what do u know, damn if they didn't send me two passenger side sliders. I waited 4 weeks for them to fabricate these and they send me two passenger side sliders??? Where's the attention to details that people lack these days?? I mean damn. Waiting to hear back from them as I expect a full refund and them to arrange shipping back to their factory. I am done with this company.

    are those bolt on?

id be very weary of using those as sliders with only 2 supports per side bolt on or weld on.

Yes sir these are bolt on. Just talked to RR and they want to make me the right ones and send those back. I said thanks but no thanks. I don't have another month and a half to wait and the. Not be guaranteed they will be right.

No doubt I will be ordering from one of our vendors. The only reason I went with RR is because of how tight it fit to the cab. It was the look I wanted. I'm going to have to research more to find someone who can make one with that look.... Just the right way

Never heard of this company so I checked out their page and find it funny how much they talk these things up. Then I see they only have 2 supports from the sliders to the frame. Considering how tight they are tucked up to the cab I would be afraid of them contacting the cab when actually used. You should look into B.A.M.F. (Bay Area Metal Fabrication). I purchased and received a set of bolt-on from them. They are much higher quality and more durable than what I just saw above. He has a really long lead time but well worth the wait. I did have a little issue with my shipment though. The hardware was missing from the pallet the sliders showed up on. Sent them a note and got a replacement tracking number 5 minutes later. IMO they are an awesome company. Plus you can buy a significant other, a custom candle holder (you get something and she gets something).

You shouldn't even pretend to use those as sliders OP. The mounting support to the frame is in no way adequate to support the weight of the truck, they WILL flex up and impact your body panels, and you WILL have damage. You're gonna need at least a 1/4" gap between the sliders and body, and frankly I'd recommend 1/2"

Real sliders need at least 3 mounting legs, 4 is better (possibly 5 for long bed trucks), they need to be gusseted, and the frame plates should be much larger than what's in those pictures.

BAMF probably has the best bolt-on setup out there these days...this is what actual slider mounting looks like:

Run, don't walk, away from these Rocky Road fools.

This picture doesn't show the gussets on the top of the supports, which are non existent on the Rocky things... Also the BAMF require no drilling and can use up to 8-1/2" grade 8 bolts, 1-3/8", and a factory cross member bolt per side. The hardware sent allows 6-1/2 per side. I cut more steel (a large fender washer essentially) to add the extra 2 per side.

SOS concepts is VERY similar to the BAMF bolt ons in that its a WHOLE frame plate with 7 or 8 (maybe 9 i forget) bolts.

I got the SOS cus they stick out a good ways and look good!

Pretty much what jandrews said. Those are not sliders, they're ornamental decorations for a truck. Get your refund and invest in something more substantial.

Glad I didn't go that rout and went 4xinovations weld on instead. Have ordered quality parts from Rocky Road for my Samurai so figured their sliders would be good too.

I ordered a whole 3-link kit for my Suzuki from them also and a transfer case, both of those were of good quality. Maybe they should stick to Samurai parts. This was many years ago though.

okay so RR said they would issue a full refund and give me a return shipping label. I told them that I do not have a box to ship them back in because the original one was destroyed by UPS on the way here. Hopefully I can get 8' of 100# steel sliders back to them safely. I want my money back!
