Richloam WMA Info & Meet Thread

Honestly, most of my experience out there was during a drought period. We almost actually had to look for water to play in. The point is, it's a was a very different place out there the last time I went and we didn't really stay too long. I plan to rectify that a little this time. I do know of some places that we'll probably have to avoid since they were underwater during the drought conditions to the point that I backed out of it with my YJ on 16x35 Boggers. I would imagine you'd pretty much need a swamp buggy or a boat to get down that trail now.

I'm hoping this time I can get a bit of a handle on navigation out there since before we would always used to just pick random trails to go down. This time I'll have GPS to help out with determining a general location (since unfortunately, most of the trails out there don't show up on google maps) instead of having to rely on the FWC's brochure map and dead reckoning.

 

Well do you plan on going in clay sink or church road which ever one it was like last time

 

Yeah, we'll probably be coming in on Claysink to North Grade by the fish hatchery.

Well, five more days. So begins the struggle to stay on day shift.

The weather is looking pretty horrific all week long though. 50% is the lowest chance of rain all week long. On the other hand, as Frank and I discovered at Croom, wheeling in the rain can be pretty fun too...just maybe not at Richloam, haha. Worst comes to worst and we can't find a trail out there that doesn't require a boat to negotiate, Croom is right down the road.

 

If someone bought this tire I have at the house, I could use as gas money I would definitely go.... so anyone need a 305/55/20 nitto terra grappler? has 2k miles on it

Man, this is gonna suck, haha. It's supposed to be in the mid-90s with a 60% chance of thunderstorms. I'll no doubt be hating life out there.

Wasn't planning to. I was just saying I'm going to be feeling like an overboiled cabbage. I have a feeling this trip will spell the end of my A/C compressor though. It's been sounding pretty terrible since I got everything else straightened out.

 

I'll bring you one of those hand held fans you get at Disney.

 

Oh good! As long as there's a really cute bikini-clad girl to fan me when I get overheated, that would be great.

Nope. Not even sure what that is. I was out of the game for a long time until I got the OGT a couple years ago.
