Just ordered some more stuff in preparation. Klim K Fifty 1 armored riding jeans, TCX Waterproof riding shoes, Pit Bull Spool Kit, Pit Bull Rear Stand, RevZilla Grunge Brush, Maxima Chain Cleaner, and Maxima Chain Wax.

May be a lot of money right now, but I would rather spend a couple hundred bucks armoring up head to toe and be better protected in a crash, especially since I am a new rider and will most likely have a drop at some point in the future. Other maintenance parts will also help me as I start learning more about motorcycle maintenance.

Excited as hell to start my riding career!

Picked up some Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10W-40 synthetic oil, K&N KN-303 oil filter, an oil drip pan, and a funnel in preparation.

I'll have to ask the current owner when his last oil change was when I buy it, but I like to be ready just in case :)

Ordered a Helmet Butler gear rack today to help keep my gear organized and from just sitting on shelves in my garage (takes up a lot of space).

Seems like a really cool product.

Last of my gear, Helmet Butler, and maintenace stuff showed up today.

I'm gonna have to try and get my Klim jeans hemmed tomorrow as they're pretty long since I'm a short bastard.

There's probably about three to four inches of just jeans at the bottom before the mesh liner starts. Hopefully that will be enough to make them fit better. They will also fit better on the bike with me in riding position I think.

Installed the Helmet Butler and took my Klim jeans to the cleaners to get hemmed. I asked them to tailor 2'' off, leaving about 1/4''-3/8'' of jean material past the mesh liner.

I know this stuff is probably boring to everybody considering I don't even have the bike yet, but I can't contain myself... :anonymous:

Hopefully will be buying the bike at the end of this week or beginning of next, then will have to get all the registration and insurance sorted out, then I will finally get to ride!

I did the exact same thing before I bought my bike. Bought a helmet, summer mesh jacket, winter jacket, gloves, and other various things right when I was done with the class. Felt dumb because I didn't have a bike and all this gear but a month or so after, found a bike. At least you have a bike lined up!

Yes, I'm glad that as soon as I have the bike, I'll be ready to ride and not vice versa. It would be torture having the bike here and not being able to ride without gear or anything.

Yeah exactly! That helmet butler is cool, never seen that before. Does it stay on there pretty sturdy?

Helmet Butler is definitely cool. I wouldn't say it's rock solid (bracket is plastic) but it is actually pretty sturdy. It can hold up to 50lbs of gear.

Forgot I had a picture of the actual bike I'm buying. Posted in OP.

Also found out the current owner just replaced the shifter lever (was a little rusty) and also put in a new battery, so this bike is going to be a great deal.
