Might as well test the 35" STTs so you know that's what you want in 37s

Too much to bite right now. That's a 17" wheel update and tiars... not in the cards right now. Would rather have a decent set of 35s over these nasty ass MT Kumho tiars that are on there now and the 285s aren't even an option in my book. Who knows maybe I will be happy on 35s with the new suspension I am ordering whenever Kurt calls me back.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
I say keep what you have, do the suspension, then figure out the tire/size. No sense putting the cart before the horse.

Adams truck is pretty big even with the 35's. I saw it in person with the 285's and the 35's after the suspension was installed and there is a big difference. If you are going the same direction as him with suspension I think you will be happy with the 35's. 37's are cool yes and give you more clearance but definitely aren't going to limit you too much with the axles and engine you have in that thing. If you don't want the Kevlars but are pressured not to get Duratracs, get the ST Maxx now in 35's and go up to the 37's in the STT Pro down the road. The ST Maxx is an awesome tire. I have had it on a little bit of everything over the last few months and it performs just as well as my old KM2s did. It also has the Amortek Sidewall which although likely weaker than the MTR Kevlar, is still better than the Duratracs.

My biggest issue is a lack of local built 80's to learn from...so goals here are to build the suspension to have the room the 37s in the future (4" OME comp suspension), armor her up and then toss in a lower crawling gear if she needs more in 4 LO... but the 37s won't be coming for a while and really aren't on the table as I need to drive this thing on the road and it be comfortable.

So I think 315s are the ticket. She is on them as we speak but they are rge trailer wheels and tires. I am going to pull the 285s off the rims that came on it and refinish them so they are ready for a new set of 315s. Goal is all this stuff to be out of the way by this time next month if possible. I'm not sure if that's realistic but I think it is.

So real question is what 315s to get?I liked the duratracs...but the fucking sidewall jokes are why I got rid of them. I don't want to be second guessing a tire in the rocks. So where does that leave me...

Not doing MTRs again...no Hankooks... these STT PRO tires aren't really available in 315 yet...not doing KM2 again.

Not sure when they will be available...could be months... i'll need tiars in the next month or so...for sure before the next wheeling trip I take. Not much left of these Kumhos... good enough for the trailer but not the truck...
