It's not bad in a full sized, there's a good amount of head room. You can always get a mid or high rise cap if you want more head room. You have a popular color, you could probably find one on craigslist that is color matched and ready to go. New, they are expensive as all hell!

I've been picking on Billy a bit much lately. Sorry buddy
Not jealous at all. Just being sympathetic to you buying a Chrysler product.

His is an '04, not an HD. Comfortable to ride in, but with an 8-foot Fisher V the front bumper practically drags on the ground all winter.

Well since were on the subject of mileage, I was getting 14.8 on my trip. 3 adults, 2 kids, bed FULL of stuff and pulling the camper FULL of stuff doing an average of 70 mph. Not bad in my opinion

Not bad at all. I'm between 15 and 16 with a similar load in the Ferd with the pop up in tow.

Cap looks good! I've been monitoring CL on and off for one for myself. I actually had one on my 93 when I bought it, which I promptly sold as I didn't care for it. That being said, it would be nice to not have to shovel out my bed when the snow comes back. I should be able to build something in the rafters of my garage to hold it as well. Worst case I throw it under the deck under a tarp.

I've never concerned myself much with fuel economy unfortunately. I've never had a vehicle that got it, so I've always planned for the worst. We take the wife's car if we want to save gas.

Nothing wrong with that..it sucked filling the tank on my 77 Malibu that you could see the needle drop as you went up the street but being free with 87K needing a heater core made it better. I had to do the core anyway before inheriting it, just meant I also had to pony up the $40 for the part.

Same here, wifey has a Rav4 but I think my truck is better on fuel than hers. In my house it's more if we go out with other people or to a party where I might have to drive someone home who had too much to drink that we take the Rav4.

I could watch the gas gauge in my Caddy drop when I floored it on the highway. Those Northstars were thirsty

Took the '69 on the highway today because I was in a hurry and didn't feel like dealing with traffic. Problem is, even with 3.55's at 75 you're in the 4 barrel a little too often (and turning 3k). I probably burned 1/8 of a tank in about 30 miles.

But man, was it fun accelerating up that on-ramp. :burnrubber:
