Just watch out for the brittle ass plastic wire covers that tend to shatter and get on top of the valves when you have the covers off.

Yeah, it is a very tight fit in the elite. I moved the solenoid box to the passenger side wing in the bumper.

I did have to clean the copper contacts inside the solenoid. There was a burned area on one contact that was causing intermittent engaging. Was a fairly easy job and it is working fine again.

Probably not. I always felt you are paying a premium with the warn stuff. It wasn't worth it to me. And overall, I've had good results with the X2O 10.

Thanks, i'm sure something will get in there but I'm gonna cover them as best I can.
    This.

For me it was between engo and xrc, I went with engo because of good reviews and their cs seemed to be better. I've heard of problems with both but i've also heard of problems with warns. They say they are made in the us but the China stamps on the inside say different.

Most parts are China parts. Probably just assembled here

Correct, but they way people/warn talk about them it sounds like everything is made here. For example with their new economy line, they state that parts are sourced and assembled here. That leads me to believe they are saying their standard lines are completely built here. I could care less where something is made, it's all about standards and CQ.

The warn winches the cheaper ones are China parts and assembled here. Idk about the more expensive ones.

From what I've seen both are china parts and assembled here, I used to have an m12000, had china stamped on a few parts.

So sad, just realized I accidentally unsubscribed from this thread and have 580 posts to catch up on.

Anyways, thought I'd share this issue with y'all in case someone has some insight... was pretty sure my diff was leaking due to location and feel/smell of the fluid. Everything seemed dry above. It isn't a big leak, but backside of diff was wet. Didn't surprise me since some idiot (me) didn't seal the diff when I cracked it open a year ago.

So tonight I open up the fill hole and to my surprise fluid trickled out in a steady stream. Truck has been sitting for 4 days with no use, so not just settling oil, I don't think.

The only place I might be able to see any sign of some wetness is back here behind the engine:
    dea1d4336e4160b0206c94ecf2e444bb_c9bb11398d7021a4910f8ded1ab53203ee205439.jpg

But I don't see any wetness connecting to the diff, so that has me stumped. Coolant levels are ok, and the oil is right where it was since it was changed a few months back. Not the ac drain line from the cabin, checked that. Definitely something that feels oily, especially since it hasn't dried after 3 days...

    Thoughts?

Rear main seal would be my guess.

Interesting. Starting to read up on it now. Most people seem to be seeing this leak dripping from the trans, but that's just a hop skip and a jump. Will take a closer look there tomorrow. Such a bummer if that's the case. Only 93k on the truck. Seems like most are just keeping an eye on it. Definitely not puking fluid, very gentle. Usually just a small drop dangling that has yet to fall when I stop.

Check your oil drain plug too. I know that sounds stupid..but could be just loose enough

Yeah will do. Just thought I'd see oil there too if it was leaking. Everything on my truck is covered in dirt so it's pretty easy to see where leaks happen :)
