Muffler is sound preference, but here is a dyno test for perfomance.
Also here is a link to other performance stuff for the 4bangers https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/best-bang-for-your-buck-4-cylinder-mods.352450/page-2

Thanks. I really just want the sound. Not looking for a performance gain really. I'll check out that link.

I'll see what exhaust options the muffler shop has when I go. If they have Flow Master I might go that route instead. I only really have experience with Magnaflow and Borla exhaust on cars and trucks.

Btw I created another thread about intake silencer mods. Can you point me in the right direction there? Coming up short there.

Icon MT suspension, Pelfreybuilt front bumper, Relentless skids, Avid sliders, Avid custom rack. Pelfreybilt HC Rear bumper.
Looks nice. Don't go any bigger on tires or you will feel down on power with any load. 265/75R16 is the stock size on the off-road versions so your gearing is right on, speedometer id probably good too. My SR-5 cam with 245/75 street tires and I run 265/75 and 255/85 on it now, I dis switch to 4.56 gears and ARB lockers front and rear. I like to extra torque front the gears and it pulls harder as you would expect, highway RPM's are 2500 at 73 mph, but fuel mileage is none the worse.

Yeah I don't plan on running anything bigger in tire size.

I might do an add a leaf down the road and bump my front shocks up one notch though.

I pulled off my stock intake pipe earlier and I don't see a good way to cap it off. Probably just gonna leave it be for now.

So I went and read the other thread. How is the motor going to breath if you plug the intake?

Not plugging the intake. Just the 2 holes that goes from the intake pipe over the valve cover into the resonator box. So the resonator would still be there, it would just not function anymore. I'm sure it could be done with some work. Maybe I'll pick up a spare and try to mod it.

I will have to take a look at mine later so I can get a better idea of what you are thinking. But it sounds interesting, and curious to what you can come up with.

Here are the holes that run to the silencer from the intake pipe. These are what I'm talking about blocking off.

This nipple that runs to the fuel pressure regulator would need to be relocated as well.

How much did the lift run you and where did you order it?

I got it from Headstrong Off Road. It was around $750 for the front coil overs and $150 for the rear shocks.

Did you get the Upper control arms? Looks like their 5100 kit is only 700, that's for the shocks and springs assembled. I'm really liking the look of your truck, mines also a MGM access cab.

Still running stock control arms. And at that price I would choose the 6112 over 5100 any day. It's worth the extra money.

That's what i'm thinking, with the 5100 shocks out back. I'm just looking to level my truck out and improve the ride a bit. I don't offroad my truck that much.

The 5100 out back seem good, but I want to put the 5160 back there sometime soon.
