The increase is nearly a 50% increase OVER stock on both HP and torque. 236 hp to 304. And those are SAE rated numbers FROM Toyota. NOT some after market SC seller. Not that the aftermarket numbers are bogus, just that Toyota is adhering to the SAE testing specs.

The URD overdrive stealth pulley is pretty awesome. And was easy and took very little time to install. I did it in the morning after the truck sat in the garage all night and the engine, vis a vie the OEM pulley, were stone cold.

I considered doing that. But after reading some install advice here, I decided against it. I followed Gadget's instructions to a T. It went very smoothly. I did take my sweet ass time setting up though. Just to make sure I had EVERYTHING I needed on hand and close by as time is of the essence once you start. The hardest part was figuring out how far the new pulley was on as you can't really tell without removing the press on tool. Not that big of a deal though.

It's gonna be close to 90* here today. :D

That's why I did it in the morning. At the day's coldest point.

Yeah, but my heart is still with the goat and boost. Lately I've been seeing a few more then normal GTOs driving around. I hope the word doesn't get out too much about this sleeper car

With procuring a TRD supercharger ... I've been on the fence with the most recent alert but think I'm climbing over. Almost hoping Statefarm won't insure it so I don't end up buying one.

There's insurance companies that insure aftermarket parts. USAA, my insurance company insures it

I talked to David at Magnusen Superchargers, Who i think made the S/Cs for TRD,(?) and he recommended against the port and polish for me, even though mine is just sitting in my garage gathering dust. Realistically, you're paying about $100/hp or more for a port and polish. To send to Steig it would probably cost close to 1k after shipping, and they only promise UP TO 10% hp gains (not 10% total gain, 10% gain to what the SC will provide....so at most they're promising 6 hp).

Correct me if I'm wrong here but I remember somewhere that the auto tranny on our Tacoma is also used on the 4.7L V8 4Runner. I figure the added torque of the V8 it should hold up well. Not for track use but as a DD not abused it should hold up. Valve body upgrade should make it more sustainable for daily use.

No way man. I'll hold on to it for now, won't be putting it on for another couple of months....if it jumps up to like 10k before the end of the year, then yea I'd sell it :D
