    The rebuild on your own isn't that bad with the Icons. You need to buy the special tip, oil and seals. I was fortunate cause I had access to a nitrogen tank but a lot of local shops will refill cheap.

    Tips:
    Refill to 150psi
    Wet the seals with oil a bit before installing
    Change all the oil regardless, gets dirty fast.

    This is what I learned my 1st time.

    One is completely empty of oil and planned on changing it out anyways.

    Why only 150psi?

    Not much going on in here other than a front suspension rebuild. Hopefully TC +2 kit by winter. Other than that she's working great!

    That is what I was recommended to do. This was on my 2.0 rear non resi shocks. So I would do your research 1st to be sure that is good for fronts with resis. It seems that it's a personal preference from what I was told.

    I'm running non-resi up front. Icon said to fill to 250psi. But I can see how lower will change the ride a bit.

    You've got a lot more weight up front. I'm just not sure what kind of stress you are putting on those coil buckets. Do you run 700s pre loaded up?

    Yes, about 1-1.5" of preload. Cool bucket gussets coming within a few months hopefully. Woul also like to tie them together but different project for a different time.

    The CB gussets will help bending of the UCA bolt but they do nothing for that thin piece of metal on the coil bucket. I recently saw some pictures of a Icon setup with 700# preloaded up and the coil top hat started to rip through the bucket. Knowing that you wheel and have all that weight, you should really look to add the secondary hoop and cross brace before you go +2.

    Hmmmm that sounds like lack of maintenance AKA torque checks than a design flaw. Not only that but I don't think it matters if you have 650's or 700's pushing back, it's still the weight of the truck and force applied (bumps and jumps). I could be wrong on that though, I'm not an engineer.

    According to the shop it was at getting new Coil bucket supports welded around what was left of the stock ones, it was Preload. It was a MT setup pushed like it was LT.

    I'm not sure which is worse; stock lowers or stick spindles.

    They both make me cringe when I see how weak they are.

    Spindles are getting gussets when they show up and swapping LCAs to some lesser miles in the mean time. TC stock length or +2 coming in by winter time.
