What type of vibrations? Like the seat noticeably rattling or something else?

I have a 2013. No issues at all and no shaky passenger seat.

IDK. Possibly go back stock. Gotta do research on bolt pattern and see who makes what.

Update: Most uncomfortable truck I've ever driven. Rode horribly, underpowered and I could the previous owner didn't update the computer with the addition of the wheels and tires.

Took my gf to ride in a stock 2015 and it was a complete night and day difference. Smooth, quiet and had some power to it. So looks like we will be continuing the search for a 2014+ truck. Or maybe I'll just hold out and get a 2016

Unless that truck was a 4 cylinder the 15 you drove is the EXACT same truck, drive line, and motor. So unless there was something wrong with it or those tires are quite a bit larger than stock, I don't see what you where there would be a "night and day difference" in power. I've driven several different model year of Tacoma 2nd gens and never noticed any one being any different.

It probably had a spacer lift which made it ride poorly.

I don't know how Tacomas work, when I would change wheel/tire size I would update the tune on the truck to read correctly on the speedo along with changing transmission shift points. The trans was sluggish and slipped along with at 40mph it would shift up and down up and down. Just didn't feel right.

They were larger tires and heavier wheels. The new truck just felt like it accelerated much better and drove much better. I know they're the same driveline, but without actually having yall there for the ride along its hard to explain.

As for the ride quality, I would rather drive something with cut springs or hydraulics. It would have ridden smoother. The 15 was VERY impressive and quiet. So it looks like I'll just have to go get a new one and add my own accessories.

Plus just the overall experience of the dealership wasn't what I expected from a Park Place dealership in Dallas. Has a viper alarm and they hand me a remote with dead battery, can't answer any questions and just all around not very knowledgable about trucks in general.

Oh well. On to the next one.

That makes sense. I didn't really look at your pictures you posted. Bigger tires, heavy ass wheels, and a spacer lift would equal a terrible driving experience. Hard to believe people purposely do that to their trucks.

As far as I know there is no way to correct anything with larger tires than to regear.

Mine now has a 2.5" Bilstein lift, drakar rear springs, and LR UCAs. Rides and drives better than it did stock(although the rear springs are a bit stiff). Still running my stock tires(after market rims in 16") too. I like the look, next tires I may go slightly larger to help fill in the gap a bit.

OP look I know you don't want 4x4 but it is worth it for resale and opens up a whole new world of off road adventure and camping.

These trucks don't make any sense to buy used anyway. Resale is so good that I would never buy used, you don't save any money.

Not always the case. I saved 10k buying a 2 year old one with 30k miles vs a new one. Well worth 10k to me.

I prefer not to buy new vehicles. I've bought 2 in my lifetime and regretted it both times.

Luckily I know people in the auction business that deal with solely Toyotas coming into the area. Looks like I'll be headed there Monday.

Any other tips, tricks advice that anyone can lend would be great!

Buy New! You may only save 3-5k buying used low miles, whats piece of mind and a mint driven truck worth?

    Disagree

3-5k is a lot for some people...if you're smart and patient and do research you'll find what you're looking for
