Jeez. For that price there's no way I'd have anyone but myself do it. With three or four people working on it you shouldn't have an issue with getting it done in a weekend day, especially since it's a new truck and thigs won't be very rusted on.

The only part that I could see taking a while is maybe getting the old leafs out and the new ones in. But with a new truck I wouldn't even be worried about that honestly

Shouldn't be much of a hassle hopefully, now whether to do it in a driveway or take it on base to the auto skills center is the question

take it to the base.... on a lift = a much faster swap out time, plus air tools to boot.

Seems like it'd be a lot easier to get all 4 corners done quicker too

So i don't know if any have you have heard about the ferry breaking down in Whittier, but let me tell you it totally fucked me. I was surprised at how little ALASKA marine highway company could careand how little they did to help us out. So instead of leaving from Kodiak tomorrow for the 6 day cross golf to bellingham, I am now leaving next saturday for homer. I will be doing the entire ALCAN now and on to San Diego pulling a 6x10 cargo trailer. I did get my truck ready for a 1100 mile drive but not a 3700 mile drive that i will now be doing. So im going to get some last minute work down by Green Tree Fab so I have a little piece of mind. My plan for the trip is as follows:
    Ferry to homer
Homer to Anchorage (spend 2 days in anchorage and get some work done by GFT)
    Anchorage to Tok
    Tok to Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada
Whitehorse to Dawson Creek (that will be the longest day at like 16hrs)
    Dawson Creek to Vancouver
    Vancouver to Eugene,OR
    Eugene to Sacramento CA
Sacramento to my moms house in Huntington Beach
Huntington Beach to my house in San Diego

Just did fresh oil and diff fluid changes, having GTF change out my worn uca bushings, cleaned air filter/throttle body, as well as put some newer tires on and upgraded my brakes to drilled and s,otted rotors and green stuff pads from EBC. I also picked up an Alaska/Canada Milepost. I will be bringing four 5 gal gas cans for extra fuel, a couple extra quarts of oil, and a height adjustable hitch to level out the trailer a little better.

I wish I had more notice because I would have added some Firestone ride right airbags and daystar craddles cause my rear sags pretty good with all that weight from the trailer. I still have 3" to my super bumps touch, but it would have been more piece of mind rather than necessity and it would pushing my rear up helping my front end not be so light .

Damn man that sucks. What ferry were you supposed to take? I know a few guys I was stationed with up there that too the Alcan and said it was absolutely beautiful but definitely take that extra fuel with you.

Sorry to hear that Coby. It seems like it's impossible for any military move to run completely smooth!

Ben I'm gonna give you a call tomorrow and schedule to get my Tacoma in for an install. I thought I'd have time and be able to get an extra hand with help but I don't think time will permit me to. Might have you guys do a cab mount chop while its there too. Also is there any availability this week? I'm gonna need:

New coils swapped out in the front with trim packer for drivers side lean
    Icon UCAs installed
    Dakars installed in the back
All pro u-bolt flip up kit installed with timbren rear bumps
Cab mount chop with new plates welded in
And I already have my wheels mounted and balanced on my tires so I'll have you guys just bolt em up onto the truck
Also I want to remove my front sway bar
And I'll have you guys take it over to AK Spring for an alignment and I'll want the specs when it's done now that I actually understand camber, caster, and toe lol

Btw you guys wouldn't happen to offer a returning customer discount would you? hahaha

Mine got damaged during shipping this time. I've been calling and emailing since I got it back and have received 0 return calls. They're about to get sued if something doesn't change
