The general consensus is toyota will not likely give details until the 15's are close to sold out. Hopefully in a few months. You will probably learn more here than your dealership.

Here's a live pic from the debut, not great but the only pic I've seen of the rear seats so far :

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
Well no dice. The "2016" was a 2015 with big chrome dipshit wheels and some accessories. It does say "not for sale" and talk to rep for release date lol.

My guess is other than the cover they are practically identical to the 2015. Why show off something that hasn't changed. Not that that is bad. they are already good back seats.

I'd like 4X4, leather and sunroof
I'd like do my own Nav, speakers, rims, coilovers, tires, grill, bumper.

Any suggestions on package? Maybe a base package 4X4 and add OEM leather seats? Will an aftermarket stereo work with the steering wheel controls?

Odds are if you want factory leather than you will need to buy a limited. I guess you could always buy the leather seats from the parts department but then you are going to have to hope the wiring and such is the same as the cloth seats, which it may not be.

Aftermarket stereo companies often have an adapter that will work with the stereo controls, but that and the mounting kit will likely not be available for the Tacoma for several months after release.

Thanks for your response. I'd like to avoid what might be $8K for the limited and use that to customize to my liking.

Makes sense on the harness. Have to make due for a little while :D Good to know this logic might be possible.

The 2015 sport's had a leather and heated seat package from the factory, I bet you can get leather in the sport as an option.

Yeah, I forgot about the "Sport Premium" package. It's not that much less money than the limited though.

4 banger or V6 SR5? That grill is most likely going on my Sport.

Okay it's gotta be the 4 cyl (no fogs) running lights and projectors kinda surprising on this package, same with the color match everything.. I would think it was the V6 SR package then but they give you shit wheels so maybe they changed the wheel setup considering the SR is the lowest package and maybe the SR5 will actually get some decent wheels.

So what you are saying is that this truck is the new Toyota Tacoma Poverty Edition?

That's exactly what I'm saying... and the 1st gen owners are now going to be extra impoverished.

Just wish they could have changed the stamping on the cab a bit more. Looks like a Franken-truck. Still though, at some angles it looks really handsome. At others, the total opposite.
