Well, something happened a couple of weeks ago that I thought would never happen. Anyone who's read my posts knows how much I've lauded the base Tacos. I love their simplicity and the 2.7 engine. I've owned 2 of them and never thought I would have anything else.

So here's the story. My 2 children are getting older and bigger....oh, and they have friends too....lots of them! A couple of times in the last few weeks my oldest daughter has had a friend over and wanted me to take them to the mall or whatever locations teenagers hangout at these days. The wife was not home....so 4 people in a RC Taco....nope, not going to happen. Plus I have an aging mother and father-in-law who I have to drive around from time to time. The wife and I try to swap vehicles when we know I'm going to need the extra room. But, sometimes you're caught off guard. She's been "encouraging" me to part ways with my beloved base for quite sometime now and I've wanted nothing to do with that. She decided to take matters into her own hands!

So a couple of weeks ago she presented me with this....a '15 DCSB, TRD Sport, V6 Prerunner. I finally relented. It's taken me some time to get used to it...still am actually. In 30+ years of driving I think I've owned 1 other automatic. My figgity left foot and right hand are finally settling down a bit. Might have to change my screen-name!

Ah yes...I figured someone would notice that. I snagged my bug shield, PIAA Ion Plasma Yellow fog light bulbs and the tails from my RC. Never been a fan of the LED's.

Thanks everyone. And yes, my wife is a good one....a keeper for sure.

my 15 had the same tail lights. I now have a 13 dcsb but I do miss the 15s steering wheel and screen. Much easier to use

Ditto, so that's what green grass looks like. Sorry, us Californian don't get the amount of water we need. Congrats on the truck. Truck looks great..... minus the non-led taillights :D The led taillights look more 21st century then the 18th century non-led taillights :D

Yeah...I try to take care of the lawn....though Mother Nature has done most of the watering so far this year. No water shortages here in the mid-west. And no problem on the lights. We all have things that we like and don't like. "To each his own" as they say.
