If your fox 2.0 is a standard replacement... its extended and collapsed lengths are not much different than stock, and you really wont be able to get much of anything longer in there unless you do something like a BAMF relocation kit and some 12inch shocks from say fox / king etc Just did that setup on my buddies truck and hes going shackle flip kit and possible 1inch lift shackle to get some more uptravel n flex in general.

FYI after ALOT of searching, the shock with the MOST travel i could find thats "stock replacement" is the OME N182 rear shock, 10.2in of travel and it does not have a collapsed length thats too long (like the extended length billie 5100's) that would collapse before hitting bumpstop, But anything rebuildable and a proper oil / nitrogen seperate shock all have smaller travel lengths due to the nature of the way they are built

Thanks for looking up that info. I've should have know a kit will never meet all the needs i wanted. I think I'll wait until they get destroyed and then piece together a custom rig. Just wanted to make my truck more capable. Next move is to hit some trails and see how much more I need to go with mods.

Yes I understand that. I purchased the same kit. Just wondering what option you took with the overload leaf. Sounds like you also kept the factory overload in the leaf pack.

I'm still running overload and it was a hard ride but after loading up all the crap I'll never need in the bed it rides better.

It may be different on the phone. To start a new thread select the forum you want to create it in, then on the upper right corner it say Post new thread. If you want to add pictures in the media area select the media tab top of forums in the middle. Click that then find the file you want to upload to your folder on the site. Hope that helps.

If you are running extended travel in the front and uniball upper control arms it is my suggestion you get limit straps. In the stock configuration the shockis the limiter on the suspension travel. After you swap the shocks and control arms out in order to obtain better performance and travel, your uniball is the limiter and extended play and usage offroad will have your misalignment spacers colliding against the uniballs retaining cage. Stock bump stops are hard rubber and an upgrade in bump stops will net you better control of the suspensions final few inches of travel. The limit straps will keep your down travel and uniballs in check if configured correctly.

It really depends what you want to do, but if you want to do offroading at speed or high speed offroading, you will want to do both bumps and limit straps. Seeing as offroading increases wear most of the time on components its a good insurance policy to keep all that in check.

The rear is easier to setup then the front, as you can use the leaf springs as the down travel limiters. I would still get a nice progressive polyfoam or polyurethane bump stop for the rear however. I used to use a polyfoam before I went with hydro bumps.

Thanks for the write up on limit straps... How do I size them for my setup? Bumps will be last on my mod list..... Not going to do high speed until I'm ready for a new truck.

Well I believe that the average length on our trucks is 11" straps mated at the end to a weld on adjustable clevis. This allows for changes in length, as quad wrap straps tend to stretch over time before they stop. I am running non adjustable 20" straps in the back of my secondary shocks so for me its just bolt to bolt. I calculated for stretch in my design from the getgo so it worked out well. If you take them to a fabricator or any good shop which welds they can burn on the clevis's for you no problem.

Here is a photo of my straps so you can see how mine is setup.

    Fucking look it up
I'd get bump stops just in case limit straps won't be needed unless you legit jumped your truck multiple times but bump stops I always think are a must(coming from a guy that doesn't have them) :anonymous:

I see myself doing more crawling then jumping so maxing out the travel of the suspension hanging off a rock is more likely then flying through the air. But that's a nice build you did 12trdtacoma
